Hi, Thanks to HJG to make me discover these birds.. Just to mention some bugs (or supposed to be bugs ?) on the CVs : - CV-880 (release 880 v1.2) : the right (starboard) navigation light color appears more white than green (this artifact is more visible in daytime than in night conditions). This light is a mixture of white and green on the Delta 1961, yielding the effect of a green source with a white halo ( ). By comparison, on CV-990A for instance, the starboard light is greener even during day, and has no "halo "effect. Moreover this starboard light is even fully white on the 880 prototype - the General Dynamics 1960 -, and I am not sure it was a feature of the real prototype... The port light is correct on both models. (BTW the same green/white starboard navlight effect seems to occur also on some DC-8s). - CV-990A (release 990A v1.2) : the "Anticollision" switch on the panel lights nothing at all; the rotating beacons lit together with the landing lights instead.

I've just checked a few of the CV880's. Their starboard wing tip lights "do" glow green .... albeit a very pale shade .... BUT .... that's the way the "GLOW" (could be the density of your monitor setting affecting this). No changes to this are planed in the near future .... if at all.
I've also just checked a few of the CV990's too. I confirm that the Landing Lights switches and Beacon Strobe Lights switches on these panels (only) do appear to be cross-linked I'm sure they didn't used to be, so, something may have been bumped the last time the CV990 data was editd). Not sure if this is Panel or CFG related (probably panel) .... and .... not sure just when we'll be able to get around to looking at this issue given the amount of work going on here behind the scenes at th moment in respect of other projects.

Hi. The CV880s nav lights are hard coded into the MDL file. They can't be changed in anyway, shape or form. Believe it or not, it was done that way on purpose. I have a feeling that the washed out green light appearance you are seeing is more related to your monitor and graphics setting than the models. IMHO. Dee

What's actually happening there Dee (on the CV990 panel/s only) is that the red anti-collision/Beacon strobe light is being activated when the landing lights are selected "ON" (which it shouldn't do of course) .... with no response whatsover when the anti-collision/Beacon strobe light switch is selected "ON".
This's happening because of something we've bumped !
"YES" .... I concurr with that oppinion precisely too (in respect of the CV880) .... because what I'm seeing on my aircraft "IS" sufficiently green .... albeit a lighter shade than normal, but, still very recognisably "GREEN".
"IF" his screen/monitor settings are set up for less density .... then these green lights most certainly will appear more pale/opaque looking .... to the extent of possibly even appearing white whereas they most certainly aren't.

I might also be due to some client-side "update" of effect-files? But the switch issue must be related to the panel, obviously.
