I've noticed a problem with the Royal Air Laos repaint for the Caravelle 3. Whenever I load this aircraft and cycle views, FS crashes with a fe.dll error. I believe this has something to do with the aircraft textures. I don't have this problem with any other of the Caravelle 3 repaints. Can somebody help?
Thanks. rpm.

Just did a Google on this fe.dll and apparently most users have seen it in connection to either currupt, duplicate or the like textures on scenery og AI .... some mentions UT USA, others PAI textures etc. etc. if the Caravelle RAL is the culprit, I would be more thatn happy if others could re-create the issue, but I'm more than 99.9% sure that the issue is elsewhere, and/or an unfortunate combination of several things ..... I'm sorry to say, that I don't think you'll be able to get at full finaly answer to your problem here (or anywhere else for that matter) ..... Sorry ....

I've never heard of such an error .... let alone experienced it ! Are you using FS2004 .... or .... FSX ? What panel are you using with this particular aircraft/texture ? And .... what soundpack are you using with this aircraft/texture too ? So far as I'm aware .... the textures are fine and I very much doubt they could be causative of any such crash. I'd be more inclined to suspect a CFG error in respect of that particular texture. Would you mind copying and pasting your version of this data below .... so I can see what you've got there !Mark C AKL/NZ

the fe.dll is a dll that comes with FS2004, it has nothing to do with configuration files.. it's a texture loading dll. And it's apparently a bugger to kill once you've got it according to the findings on the net .... I'm sorry to tell you, that you might prepare yourself for a re-installation, and then one-by one adding your add-ons.... OR if you are so lucky that you can remember the last thing you installed, and then tryied to uninstall that again....

It seems you posted your reply this morning, Dan, whilst I was still trying to type and post my own troo (amid all the usual interruptions I get ;D) .... before I was even aware of your own bakground analysis. I saw your reply, Dan, only after I'd replied myself, but, just left mine there rgardless Mark C AKL/NZ
