I have downloaded several C-135 variants and installed them, but none of them show up in FS9 I'm very curious as to why that may be. Any ideas?

Any one of the following may account for this .... 1. Check that you haven't still got a folder within another containing folder with regard to either your AIRCRAFT BASE PACK, or TEXTURE packages. 2. Check that you AIRCRAFT.CFG is set up correctly .... reflecting the correct [FLTSIM.XX], SIM=, MODEL=, & TEXTURE = data. 3. If installing multiple liveries for the same AIRCRAFT BASE PACK then make sure the [FLTSIM.XX] entries are correctly edited in correct numerical sequence .... starting at [FLTSIM.00] then proceeding on to [FLTSIM.01] .... so on and so forth ! Any one of the above errors will cause an FS aircraft to fail to appear within the AIRCRAFT SELCETION MENU of FS. Hope this helps you out Mark C AKL/NZ

I checked all that, and not a single aircraft shows up. Is there some kind of limit for the number of aircraft you can have for each manufacturer or something?

check your aircraft cfg and see if sim= part matches airfile part [fltsim.0] title=HJG Boeing EC-135J USAF 63-8057 sim=EC-135C (this bit matches airfile???) model= panel= sound= texture=ec-135j_usaf_1980_63-8057 kb_checklists= kb_reference= visual_damage=1 description=HJG Boeing EC-135J ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type=EC-135J ui_variation=63-8057 atc_id=63-8057 atc_airline=AIR FORCE atc_flight_number=8057 atc_heavy=0 atc_parking_codes= atc_parking_types=MILCARGO,MILRAMP i.e ____ no limit what so ever on aircraft in folder, ie textures had the same problem and I'm sure this was the way I corrected it if its not the big wallers :-*on here will correct me wont you chaps ;D ;D Captain Bob

"FS2K4PILOT" .... the above specimens provided by Bob are exemplary of how AIRCRAFT.CFG files should be edited, and other supporting files accumulated within their aircraft containers in order for aircraft to display properly within FS. Thanks Bob ! You must have incorrect data (particularly in relation to SIM=, MODEL=, TEXTURE= information) within your AIRCRAFT.CFG .... or a combination of wrong files accumulated inside the aircraft containers for what you're trying to fly. If all is correctly edited and contained then there's no logical reason for these aircraft not displaying within the FS Aircraft Selection Menu. To best help you we really need to know the following .... 1. Precisely what aircraft you are trying to install ?
2. Precisely what textures are you trying to apply to these aircraft ?Can you provide a specimen AIRCRAFT.CFG file .... showing precisely what you've so far ? Mark C AKL/NZ

The following posts are all the aircraft I've tried to install, and following each are all the entries in the arcraft.cfg for every repaint I have tried to install, including the C-135, EC-135, KC-135, E-3, RC-135 (CFM56), RC-135 (JT3D), and all repaints in the Downloads section relating to these aircraft, except for the OTAN E-3 repaint. The .air files, models, and textures are completely unedited, but I did substitute the Panel from Mike Stone's freeware KC-135 in place of the aliased B747 panel in all the C-135 variants I downloaded. I also replaced the sound folders in the aircraft with the aeromusica J57, JT3D, and CFM56 sound folders (All three folders are the reverser variants) as appropriate to each aircraft, found in your Downloads section.
