Those look "NICE" Peter. The CONNIE is one of those FS aircraft I'd like to be able to fly .... but .... can't ever seem find time to be able to do I'm sure I know a certain retired DC8 capatin (a forum friend of mine here) whom used to fly for EAL very early in his professional career and whom might enjoy these classics Mark C AKL/NZ

Very nice images of the Super Connie. Didn't realize Eastern used the hockey stick livery on the Connie. Don't forget about your cowl flaps next time ;D ;D ;D

Last were retired in March of 1968, They had some each of L1049, L1049C and L1049G models in the shuttle fleet and all got Hockey Sticks, but the 1049Gs lasted longest by a couple months. They were the second to last type of recip to be retired from the mainline EA fleet (The Convair 440s lasted until 1970) And cowl flaps, mixture, prop, manifold... dang real big props have alot to remember! ;D

I was wondering whose Connie is it. I've been looking for a nice model of the Connie.

Probably the one by Manfred JAHN .... I should imagine.
He's done a whole heap of them and they're the best CONNIE's available .... other than the original short fuselage hump-backed L049 version by FSDEZIGN which is still pretty good too despite the fact it's been around for a while now
Peter might like to confirm that later.

It is the Manfred Jahn L1049. And I will be, slowly, doing more L1049s and maybe the other Connies from the EA fleet eventually.

I've read the manual several times, but no success . I want to understand it because Manfred and his team has made such beautiful birds. Maybe somebody could explain the fuel system to me either via PM or forum-post. Klaus

Thanks for being prepared to go to that trouble for someone else "EASTER1004" It's actually "GOOD" to see "that sort of co-operation" going on between forum members on this website Mark C AKL/NZ
