You beat me to it Dave ;D I too have been messing around with "THE BIG BUS" .... and was planning to present "something" here in relation to it .... much later on. No problem though ! Just a "suggestion" only .... you may find the PROJECT AIRBUS version A380 model to be better that the older (I think) version you currently appear to be using .... in all due respect to the other author of course. Some of the PA version models even go so far as to represent a virtual cabin too .... which I know to be of interest to you .... and should still be able to be used with your panel of choice as well. I'm also looking at trying to work up a dedicated A380 soundpack for use with the PA model and FDE too .... but .... I've not, yet, told my AEROMUSICA partner, Benoit PLAMONDON, about this ;D Mark C AKL/NZ

Yes Cabin at least for me is always good gives me more options in Screenshotography and I just cant fly far with no beverage service and meals . ;D. I can go without a cabin, but if there is one its a bonus. Will give PA a check . Speaking of cabin I did do a download of a PA cabin some days ago and was not quite sure of installation so I'll look at that again . Rgds Dave

You'll now be able reinstate/re-order that catering then Dave ? ;D Plenty of PA A380 files at FLIGFHTSIM.COM .... just type "PROJECT AIRBUS A380" in the search box. Some of the files there already feature the models included .... but remember .... there are 2 models versions available .... 1 featuring the virtual cabin and the other without this particular feature. You can also go directly to the PROJECT AIRBUS website too and download files directly from there .... at the following website address .... www.pairbus.com/It's a "NICE" product ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Mark C AKL/NZ Ok Thanks Mark will definately chk that out. I have not tried landing LuftH A380 yet. I know the real A380 only has reverse thrust on both inboard engines, will see if this one does, Guess I should fly in to a German airport even though never landed in G before Probably FrankFrt. Guten Tag Dave

That's correct .... reversers on the 2 "inboard engines" only .... on these aircraft ....and this's exactly how that's represented in the PA product too. I find it flies nicely .... although I can't say how accurately for lack of technical knowledge about these aircraft .... but .... it certainly feels quite "different" from the POSKY B747's. In particular ..... I actually found it "quite challenging" to fly good approaches to landing with this aircraft type .... just getting the trim, ROD, and airspeed combination right .... BUT .... once mastered .... it, once again, seems to be a "REALLY NICE" product indeed. I like it (the simulation I mean) .... anyway .... and that's despite my not really being a "BIG BUS" or general "SCAREBUS" fan either ! Mark C AKL/NZ

If someone had asked me a few years back, if a A380 would ever find its way to the HJG forum, I would have sworn that this would never happen ..... I guess the end of the world is near .....

"CAREFUL" .... that's what happened to me too ! ;D And then look what happened next .... 1 + 1 = 2 (or so they taught me at school .... unless they've changed it since) .... and eventually grew to include many .... "OH SO MANY" ;D Mark C AKL/NZ

I've been drinking .... I mean "THINKING" .... ;D The classic "BIG RED" double-decker London bus is (or was) as much a UK/London icon as Big Ben, the Tower Of London, Buckingham Palace, or Westminster Abbey .... I even remember a story, on Sunday morning childrens radio, during the 1960's, about one of these classic double-decker London busses .... entitled "BILLY THE BUS". When BRITISH AIRWAYS begins to acquire their "BIG BUSSES"/A380's (supposed to be sometime next year .... I believe) .... .... I wonder .... "IF" they might ever be persuaded into painting one "predominently red" .... and then .... maybe market it as "The London Double-Decker Bus Service" .... to the USA .... or to the Far East .... and possibly even go so far to naming it "BILLY THE BUS" too .... in honour of it's historic landbased childrens storybook predecessor Mind you though .... I think the BRITISH AIRWAYS "World Tails" campaign, of the mid/late 1990's, caused more than the type of furor that the airline anticipated/counted on .... so .... with that sort of rememberance in mind .... I guess .... I might just .... have answered my own stupid question then BUT STILL .... Mark C AKL/NZ

anyone else prefer the old Landor scheme??
also mark, i agree that they should be painted up like a an old double decker, though that would require entrance from the rear left which would be open at all times. an advantage though, would be that you could "hop on" or "hop off" (parachutes and recovery balloons are an additional fee.)

Just "ONE" (1X) aircraft only (not the whole darned lot) .... in a livery symbolic of a classic London type double-decker bus .... maybe "BILLY THE BUS" from 1960's childrens story book fame Personally .... I think "Landor" is history .... as nice as it looked, BUT, my"bus" idea is something "COMPLETLY NEW" ..... just as "a gimmick" Mark C AKL/NZ
