13 cents a gallon, wow I find now its costing me £6.50 for a gallon! over £100 to fill the car up Makes you go easy with the right foot though

WOW! That's $10.39 a gallon. (Gasoline/Petrol) People are going nuts here over $3.97 a gallon,supposed to go higher but I don't think it will get anything near what you are paying. cheers, TheGetter!

Alas, I never flew the DC-9 to either airport, but I spent more time than I care to remember on the Twin Otter between IAH and Clear Lake, about 15 miles south of Hobby.

TG - You're right, it's $10.38 a gallon at the pump, but consider that $3.47 of that is taxes, and that the final cost includes the 20% VAT added AFTER all other taxes.
That means that pre-tax, the fuel is $4.84/gal compared to a pre-tax fuel price of $3.45/gal for the US (US national average for fuel tax is $0.47/gal).
