oh darn Cannot believe I missed that When were those released, please? I want to know why I missed those. And of course great shots:) Aharon Thanks Aharon, Be baffled no more... I know you rqstd the paint so I left it alone for a few days, Then I figured it needs to come out of the hangar for exercise besides being a paint job I like, So its a crying shame to let it just sit in its zip hangar I just had to take her for a touch and go spin around KMIA..and a photo op.... I left the MD83 for you, No worries. You have to be fast in the Wild West.

I left the MD83 for you, No worries. You have to be fast in the Wild West. ha ha ha it is going to be while before I resume flying. I just bought new laptop few days ago and now am in middle of installing many softwares onto the new laptop and modifying it to meet my specific needs. I know why I missed new Air Jamaica liveries. I did not see addition of part two in the new livery release announcement dated August 6. I saw the original post not knowing that there would be addition of part two of more liveries in the same thread. Aharon OK Ahay ,No Sweat, I almost missed them myself. But working side by side with Air Ja in my airport days made me want to look for them They didnt have the MD83 or Airbus or B737 at that time only DC8-61,62 ,DC9 10-30,s and 727-200,s. No problemo.

General ques Re B727-200 reverse thrust. I did not see thrust reversing animations happening with F2 when landing although the RT sound happens,Are the reversing elements of this HJG 200 aircraft internal?... I looked at it from different angles. Thanks Dave

Hi Dave,
it depends which variant of the 727 you're using. The 727-100 and early 727-200 have reversers which are working similar the the ones of the MD-8x series. The 727-200 Adv have internal reversers which operations can't be seen from the external view.

Only the B727-100's, the early production B727-200, and both #1 and #3 engines on the B727-200 RE SUPER 27 (in terms of the HJG hosted VISTALINERS B727 3D models at least) feature the clam shell type engine thrust reversers.
On the B727-200 ADVC .... the engine thrust mechanism is "internal" .... therefore no animation is evident.

Nobody has queried it .... I know .... BUT .... just in case anyone was indeed wondering "WHY" there's any difference between the side # 1 and # 3 engines on B727-200 ADVC RE SUPER 27 version aircraft .... This's because the side engines on these originally B727-200 ADVC aircraft were upgraded during the 1990's with more powerful P&W JT8D-217/-219 type engines .... but .... this larger engine couldn't be fitted/accomodated into the rear fuselage # 2 engine position, so, the center engine, on these aircraft, remained essentially unchanged .... B727 mounted P&W JT8D-17 engines feature internal thrust reverse mecahanics .... whereas the P&W JT8D-217/-219 (a similar engine to that used on some MDX aircraft) feature the external "clam-shell" type engine thrust reverser .... and hence the obvious diference/s. This's also why engine gauge thrust indications, for the # 1 and # 3 engines in our B727-200 ADVC RE SUPER 27 panel configuration, appear different too .... because parameters associated with the side engines are diffrent from those of the center engine too .... this detail having been very cleverly incorporated into this particular panel version by my friend and colleague George CARTY .... In the case of this B727-200 ADVC RE SUPER 27 panel .... we were, unfortunately, unable to inmplement an EFIS/semi-EFIS type instrumentation which "some" (not all) of these aircraft were also upgraded with at around the time of their modification .... and .... nor do we feature a "winglet equipped" B727-200 ADVC RE SUPER 27 3D model either, however, not all of these aircraft were fitted with winglets, at first, since these were, mostly, a later again upgrade.
