I enjoy using the Convair CV990A, and I have the INS version of the panel, but I'm stumped as to where the ALIGN/NAV thingy for the initial INS alignment is. Does it exist on the panel?
Many thanks,
Neil

It's on the overhead panel (click the switch on the bottom left of the main panel marked OVH).

Still can't locate it on the overhead panel. Will post a still to check if my panel is wrong in some way. Neil P.S. I have downloaded the INS panel and it is in the fsconv folder with the aircraft panel file edited as per the instructions. All has been done that has to be done (I think!). However, one thing that I noticed is that the picture of the overhead panel within the INS panel doesn't see to show the INS ALIGN/NAV thingy I seem to be missing.

WELL .... it seems that you're using the/a CV990-A panel alright .... BUT .... the version you're using most certainly "IS NOT" the INS equipped version of this panel. It seems .... to me .... what you've downloaded, and installed, is the standard non-INS version of the CV990-A panel As George indicates .... you'll find the INS MSU Mode Selctor unit located at the top right of the Overhead panel .... "provided you're using/have installed the right/INS panel version". This's what you should be seeing .... in terms of both the Overhead and Radar sub panels sections of the CV990-A INS panel .... both of which feature INS related components .... Note the details I've discussed above .... each of which are clearly visible in this/my image. Mark C AKL/NZ

Thanks for the reply.
I'll do the panel again and see what I come up with. Many thanks, mate.

Sorted now. The 880sw core gauge was missing.
Many thanks for the help and sorry for overlooking such a basic mistake.

Not a problem "EXOCHI". When reinstallaing everything .... just make sure you install the actual "INS panel version" of the CV990-A panel (otherwize you won't see any of the INS components) .... since all the necessary guages (etc) are actually included within the same CORE FILES package. If you need further advice with the INS .... then the following basic tutorial is "the place to start" .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=3449Mark C AKL/NZ
