Hello... After staring in awe and envy for what seems like ages at the Caravelle (and DC-9) and being an FSX user I decided to end the pain and purchase FS2004 Sure enough, after downloading these AC, they've lived up to my expectations. thanks I've got one Q though re: the Caravelle (SAS Caravelle 3 Late) I was looking through the comprehensive notes provided by the author and found the 'Installation' section. He has a number of alterations marked in red text that should be made to the .cfg to make the AC "fly properly" or words to that effect. Basically, do I go ahead with the changes (some seem to have been done) or do I leave well alone? Hopefully it's the latter option If this has been covered in the Forum, apologies, but I have looked. Best wishes and thanks again for these Aircraft ZA

Since my own "CARAVELLE PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" (which form HJG's own forum based/online manual for each these AFG simulations) .... "do not" .... recommend any such alterations, then, I assume, you must be referring to Benoit GAURANT's own manual/documentation which accompanies each of the CARAVELLE panels. In short and to answer your question directly .... you shouldn't need to alter anything at all .... for the reason you've already stated. Mike and myself applied various FDE improvements to each of these CARAVELLE simulations before they came to roost here at HJG .... and which resulted in the majority of the GAURANT recommendations being Incorporated and in addition to that of our own editing. ONCE AGAIN .... you shouldn't need to do anything .... really When I packaged each of the AFG CARAVELLE panels I left the AFG/GAURANT supplied documents/manual "absolutely intact" .... as this data contains a great deal of useful "real world" technical references relevent to flying the CARAVELLE .... and which my own comprehensive "virtual aviation" notes don't cover. Use the GAURANT supplied documentation in order to gain a thorough insight into the CARAVELLE jetliner performance (from a technical perspective) .... and then use my own, additional, notes/manual (at the top of this forum SUPPORT page) as "a guide" in regard to how to, best, fly these simulations in FS2004. The only thing one needs to ensure is that they have each of the CARAVELLE panels, aircraft base packs, and sound packs "correctly paired", as direct by my "PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" .... for the "ULTIMATE CARAVELLE EXPERIENCE IN FS2004" Mark C AKL/NZ

I heartily concur with Mark, nothing needs changing. ;D
The Caravelle is arguably the finest hand flying aircraft in FS'dom.
Where do you find the documents you refer to exactly? Base file? Textures/liveries? Panel files? I can't seem to find any docs like that.
Thanks, Craig

Hello Thanks Mark for finding the time for a prompt reply. I was referring to the authors notes. Glad that any alterations have been made by yourself and colleagues. I was just double checking Good then, don't have to start messing with a .cfg. Your notes are very helpful too. Thanks ZA

Hi. I found the notes in; 'Documentation Folder' within the Folder;
panel.caravelle_3_sa_v2 - Documentation_v11
- Folder; c3sav1_doc_gb
There's a HTML doc in there that has info on the AC. It's right near the end...starting p 52 (I think) Hope that helps Thanks ZA

"YES" .... each of the Benoit GAURANT (the "panel author" for each the AFG CARAVELLE simulations) documents/manuals are included within the respective panel folders for each of these simulations .... as per his intention .... and was supplied to both AFG and HJG.
