Greetings, everyone For perhaps the past couple of months, my FS9 has had an issue trying to download real-world weather. It first appeared (oddly) after I cleaned out the cookies that had accumulated on the machine. For whatever reason FS9 has decided that it cannot download weather. I don't believe the issue is actually FS9-related, as the program reports that it is online and connected...and continues to say the problem is in my network connection or settings. My system still connects just fine to the internet (obviously...I am using the same machine to send this very message...) but when I select "Download Real-World Weather" this is what I get: "An error occurred while downloading Real-World Weather. Please check your internet connection and configuration and try again." Is it time to reload the OS on this machine or something? Does anyone have any idea where I should look or what I should look for? I would be very grateful for any assistance! Best, James D. DFW-TX

Hi James, I'm using FS9, too but I use a freeware programme that downloads the weather-information and 'translates' it for usage in the FS9. The programme is called: FSrealWX lite (you can download it from here: www.hanse-coders.net/index.php?page=self&id=1I hope I could help you for enjoying Real Weather again. Klaus

I just tried it out with my FS9 and I had no problem. I never really use FS9's weather as I have ActiveSky. Has your firewall/antivirus suddenly decided that Jeppesen is not a trusted site? That's where FS9 gets the weather info.
I had a similar thing happen a few years ago with ActiveSky, where I had to go into my AV and specifically tell it that it was OK to download from their server.

Hi:
Think you are giving the answer in your original post: The cookie was removed. Therefore check if you have disabled in your browser: "Accept cookies".
If its disabled, enable it and start FS9. Your browser should download the cookie again and give you the real weather as before. Afterward disable the "Accept Cookies" again.
I am using always FS9 real weather including the upper winds and it works fine, less the jumps of altitude and speed after updating the weather. Some days ago seems MS had changed something, therefore the service was down for a while, but now it works again.
