Hi James,
I always unzip zip-files via the 'right click'-option. Also I just tried again to unzip/open the new Caravelle I-texture via the 'double-click' and again it won't open/unzip.
This is really strange since all other new files (New Tristar(s), new B727-prototype textures, etc.) are working perfectly as they should (downloading fine and open/unzip without problems).

I just tried to see if I could install the 1959 Caravelle texture also. I too am getting an error message. I can download it just fine. But I get an error message of unknown file type when I try to unzip it. Something is wrong.

Hi Mark: (and all others!) Many thanks for the work on the Tristars, they deserved it. Tried out the 250 version with the round engine gauges panel and the paint of Delta. It flies wonderfuly!!! Could not abstain from bringing in my WX-radar, the PT KLN90B, a fuel flow calculator and the Project Tupolev joy-config, but that is for my own pleasure. Kind regards Walter P.S.: No problem at all with unzipping for me it works with leftclick (WIN7)

Many thanks to the great work again! It's an honor to fly this birdies by HJG. B.t.w., the program izarc archiver is able to open the Caravelle from France: www.izarc.org/There will be also error messages but you can go further with yes and put the files to desktop and extract again with 7z. Cheers, Arne

OK guys .... I've had a lok at this now .... This morning I downloaded the new AIR FRANCE (1959) CARAVELLE 1 (F-WHRA) texure file .... all indicated 9.83 MB of it .... and it came down fine, so, "no problems there. Then using my WINZIP GENUIUS utility, in WINDOWS XP PRO, I unzipped this particular texture folder .... but .... did get a "CHECKSUM ERROR" message after the file had successfully unzipped .... which is typically a sure sign of an incomplete or otherwise corrupted file. I then "compared" the size of this downloaded texture zip file with that of the same file which I have among my HJG stock files .... and immedidiately noted that my own stock file, here, registers a size of 12.6 MB (13,213,594 bytes) .... a discrepency of some 3 MB difference. Just as easily as files can sometimes become corrupted during downloading processes (for whatever network related issue might apply) .... they can also just as easily become corrupted during uploading processes too. I suspect this's what "might" have happened in this particular case. The only way for me to resolve this is to upload a brand new file .... BUT .... it may take a me couple of days or more to be able to attend to this .... SO PLEASE .... bear with me folks. I'll attend to this as soon as I can. Once this issue resolved/the nreplacement file has been uploaded I'll then post notice on the "CARAVELLE SUPPORT" forum page. Sorry for the inconvenience It's just one of those things than can, and does, occasionally, happen .... and that we've got, absolutely, no control over. Mark C AKL/NZ

Folks .... The other day when we updated the website with the new products featured within this latest HJG website update .... one thing "I forgot to do" (tired you see) is to update the "MD80/90 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" (HJG's online forum manual for these simulations) with "basic flying guides" for the new MD82-SF and MD83-SF freighters. "SORRY" about that FYI .... I've now added these missing [MD82-SF FREIGHTER[/b] and MD83-SF FREIGHTER flying guides to the "MD80/90 BASIC FLYING GUIDES" section of this online manual .... see "SECTION 4" within the following link .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/5002/md80-panel-installation-handling-notesPLEASE NOTE .... these guides are not based on actual/real world MD80/90 data, but rather, are simply intended to advise/instruct in regard to how to best configure and fly each one of these simulations .... on the basis of observations recorded from literally hundreds of HJG pre-release test flights. None-the-less .... these guides will/should aid (to some extent) those whom like to try'n flight plan for each of their intended virtual flights. Mark C AKL/NZ

That sounds good Mark. Looks like you've found the 'bandit'. As soon as the corrected Caravelle-file is uploaded/anounced, I will try to download/unzip it. I will report to you guys about the progress of course.
Also it's ok to make mistakes/forget something, since we all are human and remember this: Nobody is perfect

A replacement 1959 AIR FRANCE CARAVELLE 1 texture (for F-WHRA) has now been uploaded. This replaces the original texture file .... uploaded as part of this recent HJG website update and which appears to have been corrupted. This new replacement file should be fine and download as something in the region of approximately 12.6MB. Mark C AKL/NZ
