Hi everybody! As you may know the panels of the MD-80/90 series are not working in fsx. But because i really want to use these great models i'd like to ask you if someone has suggestions for MD-80/90 panels that work with these models in fsx? I want to fly with MD-81 to MD-87, MD-88 and MD-90 so analogue, semi-EFIS and EFIS-panels are all welcome.

I have an MD80/90 panel in my FSX MD 80's. Don't recall the zip for it but I am certain that I got it with a search on flightsim.com

MD80 panel for flight simulator X only. Made by Marco Spada using an original bitmap and assembling default and various author's xml gauges. This panel is FREEWARE - copyright M.Spada 2007. See other fsx panels at www.arch-spada.com/panels. m.spada@mclink.it As Herman says, search for this panel on flightsim.com or other sim sites! Works very nice. Falcon

There "ARE" other MD80/80 suitable panel options available .... "for FSX compatibility" .... which (unfortunately) the HJG offered panel versions for these particular simulations can't be used with. These other FSX related options "DID NOT" exist at the time HJG launched the bulk of its virtual MD80/90 flightline. It's really just a matter of searching either FLIGHTSIM.COM or AVSIM.COM .... or other FS website libraries .... for an appealing FSX compatible option. Not being an FSX user (I just "DO NOT" like that particular version of FS, but, that's just "ME" I can't recommend any particular FSX specific panel option (of merit) for use with the HJG MD80/90 simulations. "iF" using other/non-HJG suppliedpanel options (for any aircraft suimulation), then, one thing folk, possibly, need to bear-in-mind is .... such alternatives "MAY NOT" (I "do not" say they will not) be compatible with, or function as well/authentically with, the HJG hosted simulations (it's primarily FDE/panel gauge interelationships I'm implying here, then, some folks idea of compatibility bversus that of HJG are incompatible in itself) .... and it's for these particular reason that HJG "DOES NOT/CANNOT" provide support for any such "other" panel options Mark C AKL/NZ

The MD-80 Semi EFIS panel mainly works in FSX, as I haven't found any problems with it so far....

YEAH .... but .... "mainly works" in FSX is not what we want to promote, or, good enough to promote .... from our perspective Someithing either "IS" .... or "IS NOT" .... FSX compatible/portable .... and since neither of the MD80/90 panel we offer were designed to be FSX compatible/portable in the first instancem, then, in the interst of customer awareness and enjoyment of these files we won't promote them as being such/FSX compatible/portable .... hence their comntinuing to be being labelled "FS2004 ONLY" compatible. We've no plans to upgrade any of the MD80/90 panel options we offer for FSX compatibility/portability. It's just not possible for us to do so, at this time, and given other things we're continuing to try'n to do ("as we can") that have been progressing slowly for quite some time past. There "ARE" FSX compatible MD80/90 panel options available from FS.COM and AVSIM though .... only we can't guaruntee these will run faultlessly with the HJG supplied FDE, so, these other options are neither supported nor endorsed by us. Does anybody have MD-8X or MD-9X with panel AND the HUD display for FSX use for HJG MD-8Xs and MD-9Xs?
Italian airline Mad Dogs are equipped with panel AND also HUD display.
Thanks,
Aharon

WELL .... if there is one/some .... THEN .... it's/they're not designed for use with the HJG MD80/90's "specifically in mind" and may not work in accordance with what we, at HJG, like to term as being FSX compatible/portable. Sometimes .... though not all the time .... some aspects of some other panel options aren't necessarily compatible with FDE's by various other FS groups ..... and which is something that always needs to be borne-in-mind. I'm not saying they won't work acceptably .... for some. All I'm saying is "caution" should be excercized .... and in the event of non-HJG supplied file being emplyed, then, HJG can't be expected to assist in relation to any issues which might arise. I (regrettably) seem to need "to have to" keep stressing the above particular point/s Even the current 3 PG based MD80/90 FS2004 MD80/90 panel options currently offered by HJG (the SOUTHEY version is OK though) .... "DO" .... demonstrate some "extremely minor incompatibilities", but on the whole, they're fine (to the extent of satisfying a blind man at least) .... and albeit that "NONE OF THEM" are FSX couplatible/portable.
