Sorry gents if this has already been discussed, but is there any way to turn off the rotating red anti-collision light that lights up with landing lights? It's pretty obnoxious on the ground and since there are no taxi-lights, I'd like to have the landing lights on while I taxi without that red rotating light going haywire. Any chance of this?
Cheers Ian

Hi Ian,
I think the beacons are hard-coded/connected with the landing lights (remember, the CV990 is a rather old FS-model, but HJG did/does a great job with all those liveries/panels/engine-sound/etc.!).
This means you will have rotating beacons only if you activate the landing lights.

It's important to realise that the HJG CV990 model is, by now, "quite old". In fact it was one of the very ever first built by Eric CANTU .... for HJG. The landing lights (ground refelction at night) "DO NOT" work from panel view .... BUT .... "WILL" be seen to work "in external FS viewing mode" (only) upon selecting the panel Landing Lights switches to "ON" .... and which also then activates the Anti-Collision lighting as well. The absence of Landing Light ground reflection is a model limitation. There are no plans, at this time, to edit the CV990 3D model. The Anti-Collision light ground reflection was "a first" at the time it was implemented by Erick .... back around 2002/2003 .... BUT .... since it's hard-coded into the model (as Klaus sais) it can't be removed (so far as I'm aware), and so, we're stuck with what we currently have .... and for the forseeable future .... I'm afraid FYI .... selecting keyboard commands "SHIFT" and "L" will illuminate the panel combing at night. Mark C AKL/NZ
