Did you remember to download .... and install .... the CONVAIR PANELS GAUGES/CORE FILES package ?
Available from the CONVAIR PANELS downloads page.
Failure to do this is the only (most common) reason for no gauges appearing in the panel .... in any/all HJG panels in fact.

Hello aerofoto,
Yes, I installed the panel.cv990a folder intact into the fsfsconv folder, as instructed. Likewise, I changed the panel wording, inside the Convair aircraft model, to point to the panel.cv990a folder installed in the fsfsconv folder. No gauges appear, though. Thank you for your time and help. - Gary

Gary ....
Have you downloaded the "GAUGES/CORE FILES" package for the CV990 panels ?
The installation of most HJG panels is a "step process" .... requiring (1) downloading and installation of the actual PANEL folder itself .... and then (2) downloading and installation of the panel GAUGES/CORE FILES package .... both being separate downloads and installations.
I understand you´ve installed the actual Panel folder correctly/as recommended .... inside the FS2004 FSFSCONV folder.
I must assume you´ve also correctly edited the default PANEL.CFG file (inside the default Panel folder of your CV990 Aircraft Base Pack folder) too in order to display the panel with your simulation .... in fact you must have done so otherwise you wouldn´t even even see a panel without gauges .... so .... I think you´re OK up to this point at least.
"IF" you´ve not got any gauges appearing in the panel, then, I´m certain your missing ingredient is, once again, the separate panel GAUGES/CORE FILES package .... since there´s nothing else (I can think of) that´d cause what, you say, you´re seeing/experiencing.
The CV880/990 panel GAUGES/CORE FILES package (available at the top of CONVAIR PANELS downloads page also) contains all of the necessary panel gauges and sound elements for both the CV880 and CV990 panels .... per the following 2 sub folders ....
- The entire content of the Convair Panel Gauges sub folder (2 individual gauge files only) must/should be installed inside the FS2004 "GAUGES" folder.
- The entire content of the Convair Panel Sounds sub folder (20 individual sound/WAV file) must be installed inside the FS2004 "SOUNDS" folder only .... that´s the Sound folder inside the FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9 folder directory and "not" the default Sound folder inside your CV990 Aircraft Base Pack folder .... it´s important to get this right/make this distinction between the said destination folders.
Do all of this "CORRECTLY" and you shouldn´t have any missing components, at all, and nor should you experience any other particular issues either.

Hello Mark,
The problem is resolved. I believe it was largely caused by insufficient sleep on my part. I found I was looking at the wrong area on the Convair panel page. I was looking for the download link for the core files/gauges above the heading titled: "THESE PANELS ARE INTENDED FOR FS2004 HOWEVER THEY SHOULD BE COMPATIBLE WITH FSX". Instead, the download link is found immediately below the heading. Sorry about the confusion on my part. However, thank you very much for your time and help.
Sincerely, Gary
