(To the OP) If you ever get this problem fixed please report the fix. I reported having view point problems with the L1011 in FS9. I never could figure it out. So for now the L1011 is on my computer unused. I don't have a problem with any other HJG aircraft. For now I am just sticking with the DC9-30 and B727-200/100. Would love to know what the fix for the L1011 is.

When "EMANNS´" issue was first reported .... I initially wondered about your recent issue too "RAM1220". However .... upon reviewing your particular report at the time .... and within which you quoted .... I accept there "IS" a commom denominator between both reports .... in regard to "VIEW" points (the only 2 such reports that have been reported so far as I´m aware) .... BUT .... given what you´ve told us previously, and what "EMANN" has both mentioned and posted imagery of too .... along with both mine and Hermans comparitive FS2004 and FSX imagery (respectively) as well .... I somehow don´t think the 2 issues are related .... and more-so too given the fact that "EMANNS´" experience appears to be related to/generated by (unnecessary) view point influencing module/addon (such as FSUIPC and/or EZDOK) options .... unless you´re also using something similar and which you didn´t mention within your recent report. I´m sure "EMANN" will report when, and if, he makes further progress though .... and this will be analysed. The only frustrating thing about all of this .... from an HJG SUPPORT perspective at least .... is that it´s difficult for us to fix, or even advise, in regard to any particular issue that we (ourselves) don´t know and/or can´t seem replicate Mark C BOG/CO

Hello ram1220;
I find it difficult to understand that you are still having a problem with this issue after all the advice and pointers that were suggested to you. FS9 has always had a much easier fix for the eye point view...."Shift+Enter" to raise your seat and "Shift+Backspace " to lower the seat. What do find so difficult or mysterious about that??

Herman It just doesn't work to correct the problem with the L1011. I have stated that numerous times. Nothing mysterious about it. What do you not understand about my statement? The L1011 is just parked on my HDD for now until there is a fix one day. If ever.

I may have said this before. What I think you should do, is to post some images here so that I can see what apparently "does not look right to you".
Myself and Mark have done this in your previous thread about your issue and we have shown you that all looks OK on our images and the views out front of the L1011 are normal. So let us see what you are seeing.

The reason it doesn´t work for you "RAM2012" is because you´re not following the advice voluntrered on this or your own original thread on this same subject .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/7161/view-settings-l1011In the mentime .... Herman is "QUITE RIGHT" RAM2012 ....´ 1. You state, within in your own separate report/s recently, that you´re either seeing too much.... or .... insufficient foreground .... and that, to you, what you´re seeing doesn´t look right .... BUT .... whilst both Herman, and myself, have both presented imagery wihin our reply postings and in regard to what you (everyone) should be seeing .... at no time have you ever presented anything to show us what you´re apparently seeing and feel to be so wrong. It would help .... considerably .... if you were to do so. Even "EMANN" made this one of the very first steps with his own separate report .... and which, incidentally, I´m satisfied is completly unrelated to your own. 2. You have, a couple of occasions now, made comparisons between the L1011 panel views .... and those of the B727´s and DC9´s .... BUT .... your´re talking about there is 3 different aircraft types, with 3 different elevation points, using 3 different panels and each of which featuring 3 different eye view/horozon point also, and that are copiled by 3 different authors as well .... and as such there´s simply "NO COMPARISON" between either and so it makes no sense, at all, to try´n do so. So far as we/HJG can determine .... at this point of time .... there´s "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG" with any of the default L1011 panel views within either FS2004 or FSX, but, we cannot account for how certain features may appear or be presented on some other PC systems .... since variations and restrictions might occurr and which no developer can ever guaruntee being able to avoid . All I´m essentially saying here is .... "WE CAN´T FIX WHAT DOESN´T APPEAR TO BE BROKEN" NOW THEN .... Rather than just fobbing you off .... we/HJG and this community too .... are prepared to try to assist you (anyone) .... BUT IN FUTURE .... kindly help us to do so for your own advantage in as much as anyone elses .... please. There´s absolutely no in point saying .... "IT DOESN´T LOOK RIGHT" .... if you´re not also prepared to try´n show us precisely what you´re seeing/looking at .... and in order for us all to be able to properly analyse everything. Mark C BOG/CO ADDENDA (AUGUST 2016) ....
The natural depth of the Main Panel (that section of it below the windshield) of these L-1011 panels is much "deeper" than that of any other panel offered by HJG .... and that is simply the way this particular panel ("inherited" by HJG) was originally designed.
To compensate for this .... the default scenery horizon line has therefore needed to be set higher than that evident among other HJG supplied panels/simulations.
Ordinarily this "DOES NOT" present any view problems "at all" .... during either ground manouvering, flying, or landing (provided these simulations are flown correctly/as recommended to start with) .... as has been mentioned earlier within this thread .... and as is also evidenced per supporting panel screenshot imagery featured within our L-1011 manual and within this and the following forum thread also .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/7161/view-settings-l1011
HOWEVER ....
Due to the Main Panels natural depth .... and it´s necessarily raised scenery horizon line .... "IF" the panels default zoom value/setting is ever adjusted from its standard/default setting of 1.01, to lesser values in order to create a more the distant horizon line effect, then, the scenery horizon line will progressively receed bhind the Main Panel .... in proportion to each increment of zoom reduction .... to the extent that all evidence of the outside scenery will "disappear" if a value of much less than 0.50 is ever applied. For this reason .... using SHIFT + - (minus) keyboard commands in order to stretch the scenery view in order to create a more distant horizon line "IS NOT" a recommended when using these L-1011 panels. If applied though there is a simple and very effective solution to resolve any visobility impairment and which is as follows ....
1. Adjust the panel window zoom value "as desired" .... if at all.
2. Use keyboard commands SHIFT + ENTER and SHIFT + BACKSPACE (in FS 2004) in order to raise/restore the scenery horizon line "as desired".
This solution works "PERFECTLY" and "DOES NOT" result in any other other inconvenince/s whatsover when ground handling, flying, or landing any of these L-1011 simulations.
