As it says in the title, I installed Windows 7 Pro after using XP for years, trying to get FS9 working has been a mission but all ok now, however the Saitek yoke, rudder pedals and throttle quadrant are giving me huge problems.... After days of messing about with it I have it working in a reasonable fashion except for one major issue.....
The Brakes are always on unless I cancel it with the parking brake on/off, then brakes are off. However once I use the toe brakes it shows differential braking on the screen and the brakes stay on unless I go through the rigmarole of parking brake on off....
I have parking brake on off assigned to the yoke button no other brake assignments on the saitek kit other than the toe brakes.
Any help as I am stuck... I deleted the FS9.cfg and rebuilt it so the joystick settings are fresh.
Many thanks Tony

Very frustrating... I know! Did you install a W7 driver from Saitek? I wish I could help more, but I have CH yoke and pedals. After installing the driver I had to make sure using the CH calibration software that all the axes were being seen by W7. Then I had to go into FS and make sure the assignments were also correct. One thing that did pop up was the "repeat" level in FS for a control. If it's set too high the control will "stick" especially with external yoke and pedals. Mike

Thanks Mike I will look again, I know there is no repeat for the toe brakes though.

Got it sorted!!!!!!!!!!!! I searched the internet and it seems that you have to adjust the sensitivities for the rudder pedals in FS, to about 75% and the null zone to zero, I was not hoping too much hope but it worked! So now everything seems to be running well in Win 7 I did have sound issues but I put that down to the old Creative Audigy sound card and drivers, hopefully fixed now. So to test I took a short flight from your airport Mike Bradley to JFK and so far so good

Tony, Great news! when I mentioned the "repeat" on the brakes, I was mistaken, but had forgotten about those other parameters. Bradley is a great little airport... cheap flights direct to Florida, and most of the other large cities in the U.S. with most of the airlines represented. Security and check-in typically take about 15 minutes max Been doing some European flying lately with the VC-10... so what's your home airport? Mike

I have EGBB as my home airport, live about 20 miles away from it and 25 miles from EGNX, but EGBB has more of a pull as I spent 14 years working out of there on the Police Helicopter and I do miss that smell of Jet A1 and being airside and then seeing everything from 1000 ft But I also have a home airport for FS only.... John Reynolds made it for me as a special request EGTM (Tamworth) thats where I live.
