"NICE WORK" Benoit .... as always

Folks .... as I mentioed within one of my postings about this DC10 project and subsequent to yesterdays website update announcement.
All 3 DC10 soundpacks for
"FS2004" use are currently available from the HJG
"McDONNELL-DOUGLAS SOUNDS" downloads page.
These 3 soundpacks are as follows ....
GE CF6-6 turbofan .... for the DC10-10's only
GE CF6-50 turbofan .... for the DC10-15's and -30's only
P&W JT9D turbofan .... for the DC10-40's only
Each soundpack is "tonally different" .... as were each of these turbofan engines which powered these aircraft.
What Benoit has done here is .... so far as I'm aware .... the first time that such audio fidelity (more-so too because each of these soundpacks has been compiled from high quality real-world interior/exterior recordings) has ever been applied to any DC10 simulation .... on this sort of scale at least, but, audio fidelity is also one of many things HJG do like to try'n specialize in.
The important thing though is to ensure that the correct aircraft/engine type soundpacks are applied to the correct aircraft type/base packs .... or .... these sounpacks won't work as intended .... due to their compilation being based entirely upon the thrust curving data within each aircraft type version AIR.FILE.
Apart from notes I've already posted subsequent to yesterdays website update announcement .... my
"DC10 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" posting (HJG's online forum based manual for these simulations .... on the
"McDONNELL-DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT SUPPORT" forum page) ... is intended to aid folk not only configure their aircraft type/soundpack versions correctly, but, also assist their understanding of everything else concerning the correct configuration of these simulations in order to be able to realise the utmost satisfaction. Please refer to this manual in the future.
In the meantime .... Benoit's above video previews the
"FSX VERSION" of his GE CF6-6 soundpack for the DC10-10's HJG will be delivering early next year .... and which, as I mentioned, is quite (tonally) differnt from those engines which powered the DC10-15/30 and DC10-40 series aircraft.
"GREAT WORK" Benoit .... and I look forward to seeing your following FSX based previews of the GE CF6-50 and P&W JT9D soundpacks for these DC10's .... whenever you're ready
