navycommand7 : Thanks for downloading (stealing) this thumbnail in the first post of this thread from my webstite repaint.eddl.de and uploading it to here. @ admin: you are kindly being asked to remove this file, which is owned by ME. Tony G Madge: Thanks for Strg-C Strg-V the ATW fuselage and tail logo from the .dds file I made for captain Sim's 707 in hours and hours of hard work and using it for this. As a (good?) repainter you should be able to create these things yourself instead of copying my artwork... Or ask me before copying. I asked to get access to HJG 707-120 blank textures many years ago which was refused by someone from HJG. Cannot remember the reason, but HJG members or admins, copying from existing repaints... Not that nice... Greetings TIM from repaint.eddl.de

Firstly .... "NAVYCOMMAND7" is nothing more than an infrequent community forum member/visitor .... "NOT" an HJG group member/representative, so please, let's be clear about that.
Secondly .... where he acquired that particular image from is neither known nor of interest to HJG since we accept no responsibility for such actions on the part of other individuals. "IF" any violation has been perpetrated .... then .... he/"NAVYCOMMAND7" should be accountable for that .... not HJG. "STILL" .... we'll "remove that particular image" .... as requested .... since its origin and/or ownership can't be verified and its representation here's obviously akin to being "a bee in someone elses bonnet".
Thirdly .... "so far as I'm aware" .... being the good and talented painter he actually "IS" .... not to mention the particularly "HONEST AND HONOURABLE" individual he actually "IS" also .... Mr MADGE "DOES NOT" copy other peoples work, but rather, draughts everything for "HIMSELF" .... so .... I consider your address, at this particular level, to be both unnecessary and somewhat inapposite .... "presumptuous" on your part to say the very least.
Fourthly .... the ATW logo which, you say, has been copied, is a branding and likely property of the movie producer GOLAN-GLOBUS PRODUCTIONS .... producers of the 1986 movie "DELTA FORCE" within which the subject ATW B720-B (not a B707-320B/C as may have been represented by yourself for the CAPTAIN SIM product) featured as a prop. That particular ficticious airline logo is "NOT" yours to raise objection to in regard to its possibly having been copied by anyone .... even if that had been done (not by us though in respect of your supposed rendering of it) .... and despite the fact that you, yourself, would evidently have had to "copy" it for your own use too (this is like the pot calling the kettle black). I'm not, by any means, suggesting you're implying ownership this particular logo, but, are merely making the following legal point ....
"one can't proclaim ownership/proprietory rights over, or make demands in relation to, something that's not actually ones own property in the first instance"
In the (assumed) absence of formal consent from the owner of that particular logo/brand (the movie producers in this particular case), then, it would appear that both yourself, and HJG, could be held equally culpable, only we/HJG would be "quite happy" to simply remove this particular B720-B texture subject from our inventory "UPON THAT FIRST BEING DEMANDED BY THE APPROPRIATE PROPRIETORY AUTHORITY .... "IF" they ever wished us to do so.
Finally .... you say you aproached HJG in regard to the supply of blank B707 textures a number of years ago. Considering HJG has never had any blank textures to offer .... for either its B707's/720's or most of (but not all of) the other 3D models it either owns or hosts by consent .... then .... such a decline should not have come as any surprise to you. In addition to this .... and as would have been pointed out to you at the time of your supposed approach .... PSD data is available to "HJG member painters only" .... and which has been standing group policy (common knowledge) over the past almost 17 years now.
Mark C AKL/NZ
ADDENDA ....
The matter of HJG having supposedly copied the above-refernced ATW logo has been thoroughly investigated.
The results of this investigation (based on the evidence at our disposal) "confirm" .... beyond any doubt .... that HJG´s version of this ATW logo "WAS NOT" copied from another apparently existant texture set as has been alledged by the above complainant.
In fact it was reproduced, independantly, by Tony, aided by a number of online images .... each of which may be easily accessed through online searches.
I therefore consider this matter to be fully resolved .... and "CLOSED".
