Please note....Iberia DC-8-63 paint...hjg_dc-8-63_iberia_ec-bmy_1980.... in aircraft cfg line.... ui_type= DC-8 Super 63 should be changed to read DC-8-63, in order for aircraft to show up in FS9\FSX.

UMMM .... I´ve just had a quick look at that texture file It should be OK .... in that "DC-8 SUPER 63" is actually the correct nomenclature/designation for that aircraft type .... and as is currently stated within the UI TYPE data line for that particular texture file .... therefore forcing the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu to display this aircraft texture subject as such. I (personally) edit the TITLE= .... and then both UI MANUFACTUER and UI TYPE data lines of each DC-8-60 and -70 SERIES aircraft FLTSIM.XX component to read "DC-8 SUPER" .... with the specific aircraft series/suffix as follows .... DC-8 SUPER 61 DC-8 SUPER 61CF DC-8 SUPER 61F DC-8 SUPER 62 DC-8 SUPER 62CF DC-8 SUPER 62F DC-8 SUPER 63 DC-8 SUPER 63CF DC-8 SUPER 63F DC-8 SUPER 71 DC-8 SUPER 71CF DC-8 SUPER 71F DC-8 SUPER 72 DC-8 SUPER 72CF DC-8 SUPER 73 DC-8 SUPER 73CF DC-8 SUPER 73F Again .... and in FS2004 at least (I can´t speak for FSX) .... and in my own particular case also .... this then forces the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu to display each of these aircraft texture subjects as I´ve presented above. Having said this though .... some of our painters (each of whom are usually individually responsible for attending to their own supporting FLTSIN.XX/ADD TO AIRCRAFT/CFG data) may have edited their data to read simply DC-8-61, DC-8-62, DC-8-63, DC-8-71, DC-8-72, DC-8-73 (etc) .... so "YES" .... there could be the odd bit of variation among some these texture files .... and which will, inevitably, influence how they´re presented within the MSFS Aircraft Selection menu. I guess it´s something that comes down to personal preference/s Mark C BOG/CO
