I recently installed an CRJ into FSX, which was for FS 2002. Well, everything works fine, even the panel which amazed me. Except one little item. At idle it will taxi away, and is impossible to land as there is to much thrust. I've changed a few things under engine title in the cfg file to no avail. I do have an Air file editor, and have successfully changed the taxi speed of some port over Turbo Props, but I don't have a clue on the pure jet engine stuff. Anyone out there with some suggestions? Thanks, Falcon

"THAT" .... can be "A REALLY SCARY ONE" Denny Tweak it the wrong way and one might find ones ground handling/manouvering improves markedly .... BUT .... only at the expence of the quality of ones original flight performance I don't know the simulation to which you refer .... I'm sorry. Mark C AKL/NZ

Well, I'm referring to Posky's old FS2002 CRJ-200's. I think I may have figured it out. And yes it can be scary. You are 100% correct, as if you make the wrong change, the flight dynamics can get really weird. Had that happen on a C-60 King Air by Dee. Finally found a guy who knew how to adjust the Air file to make it taxi without flight, and fly reasonable well and close to the real thing. Anyway, I like messing around with old stuff. Never do it on HJG as don't have to. They handle so superb! And by the way so do Dee's older stuff also. The only thing about FSX is any older turbo prop tends to idle rather fast, but easy to change the prop angle at idle and not affect the flight angle.
Happy Holidays to all! Denny aka Falcon

Hi Denny:
Read your post very late. In general many FS developers take shortcuts with turboprops using flightdynamics of jets. So prominent features of turboprops like the hughe braking effect with props in beta even in FS2004 are not simulated. With my tune up of the TU-114 I was lucky to find flight-dynamics for a turboprop 114 and not the disguised jet the SAMDIM Tu-114 originally is. My work on that FDE consisted to bring the fuel burn to real, correct the attitude and bring the braking of the props more to real so it could come down in a hurry from FL 360 even it did not have airbrakes.
Kind regards
Walter
