Walter´s frequent and interesting forum discussion in regard to the PT TU-154 and IL-62 simulations in particular, as well s those featuring other classic Soviet era jetliners too .... along with Peter´s recent GUAYANA AIRWAYS IL-62M texture also .... have all had an impact upon me.
These guys are clearly a bad influence upon me .... just kidding guys
SO THEN .... as I cool my heels .... waiting to fly back across the Caribbean from South America tomorrow morning .... to the USA, then acroos the USA from coast-to-coast, and then across Pacific to New Zealand too (3 separate flights back-to-back and some 23 hours total "flying" time .... not including connections too) .... Camilo and I knocked-up the following 2 new textures yesaterday and which we´ll try´n get released "somewhere" ASAP ....
"NO" .... these aren´t Fake or What If subjects
Both of these subjects "actually existed" during the late 1960´s and early 1970´s .... as the result of joint service agreements between AEROFLOT and both JAPAN AIR LINES and KLM ROYAL DUTCH AIRLINES in regard to Tokyo/Moscow and Amsterdam/Moscow services (respectively) during this period ....
JAPAN AIR LINES/AEROFLOT IL-62 CCCP-86677 (1969)
The following AEROFLOT IL-62 aircraft similarly supported "JAPAN AIR LINES" titles and logo during this particular service arrangement ....
CCCP-86677 operated jointly with JAL during July 1969
CCCP-86682 operated jointly with JAL during July 1969
KLM ROYAL DUTCH AIRLINES/AEROFLOT IL-62M CCCP-86689 (1970)
This saw the following AEROFLOT IL-62 aircraft servicing this particular arrangement .... and with "KLM" titles added ....
CCCP-86682 operated jointly with KLM during April 1971
CCCP-86652 operated jointly with KLM from April 1971 to May 1971
CCCP-86653 operated jointly with KLM from April 1971 to August 1971
CCCP-86684 operated jointly with KLM from October 1971
CCCP-86654 operated jointly with KLM during October 1971
CCCP-86655 operated jointly with KLM from April 1971 to November 1971
CCCP-86689 operated jointly with KLM during December 1971 (IL-62M)
CCCP-86690 operated jointly with KLM during December 1971
CCCP-86691 operated jointly with KLM from January 1972 to November 1972
All of these services were operated by the early Kuznetsov powered IL-62´s .... with the exception of "CCCP-86689" which was a later Soloviev powered IL-62M and saw service with KLM.
Special thanks to my friend and HJG colleague Camilo LUENGAS (here in Colombia) .... for his efforts yestrday .... "MUCHISMAS GRACIAS" amigo
