"YES" .... and despite significant scorn/negativity that was forthcoming (from some quarters per other social media) at the very start of this campaign .... I´d like to think/hope the "KIWI CAN DO" mentality might ultimately prevail in order to .... "BRING OUR BIRSDS HOME" .... even just 1 or 2 of them only This was never going to be an easy project .... and it´s still not going to be easy despite the significant positive progress that´s apparently been made over the past 8 nmonths of this camnpaign, but, knowing Paul personally (having worked with him in the past), and respecting his "not to underestimted powers of influnce, and abilities too, and as I do, then I feel if anyone´s going to be able to successfully bring this project to fruition .... then .... he´ll be the driving force behimd it if not the person whom is resposible for successfully doing so. Where there´s light .... there´s hope .... and there "IS" light at the end of this particular tunnel .... BUT .... the success of this campaign/project is totally dependant upon public support and enthusiasm .... if not a generous degree of sponsorship too Mark C BOG/CO

Here's the thing for me - I was skeptical at first (still am to some extent), but I believe that they've set reasonable goals with their fundraising. All they've asked for is funding to cover the travel expenses to attempt securing agreements for the aircraft. There have been several "attempts" in the past where the people raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for an airplane they claimed to have made arrangements to acquire only to reveal in the end that they hadn't actually approached the owners of the airplane and that it wasn't really available, or in the case of another, that the plane had been scrapped because the owner gave a deadline that was missed and didn't care that the group was "almost there" because the plane had been derelict at the airport for almost 20 years and they were tired of dealing with the eye sore. In another case, the plane was auctioned off because the "restoration group" had never actually provided the required paperwork to prove they were serious to the airport authority. It's left a bad taste in many people's mouths over the years because there have been plenty who've made big claims and almost none who have ever followed through.

Some folk probably can´t be blamed for feeling "skeptical". After all .... and as Chris quite correctly hints .... there "HAVE" been any number of situations around the world, in the past, where charlatans have seized such opportunities (under the guise of such reclamation and restoration projects) to exploit and misinform/mislead many for their own personal gain, or, other situations where people with genuine intent have simply gone about everything the wrong way That´s one of the reasons why Paul addresses (within a number of recent video updates) the importance/need for this campaign to be be moved to a more "legally legitimate" foundation .... for "greater transparency" and power of persuasion too .... along with the implicated setting up of "a Trust or LLC" also .... and only once a more solid commitmment to this project can be negotiated with the current aircraft owners. As Paul also states within recent video updates .... things "ARE" looking "optimistic" (is the term he uses) .... at least more-so than was ever the case some 8 months ago. It´s still going to be "A MASSIVE EXCERCIZE" though and one that isn´t going to be a particularly easy undertaking either .... and that´s despite the apparently positive progress made to date .... BUT .... if it (something) doesn´t ultimately come to fruition out of all this effort .... THEN .... that certainly won´t be for lack of trying or having gone about things improperly Mark C AKL/NZ
