"AS WE'VE NOW ESTABLISHED THIS IS A BOEING MATTER I HAVE MOVED POSTINGS CONCERNING THIS QUER TO THIS/THE "BOEING" SUPPORT" FORUM PAGE"
Greetings. I downloaded the files at the time of release, but hadn't had time to look at them & make use of them until now. The readme says that for FSX we are to delete the aircraft.cfg file & replace it with the aircraft_fsx file. Only thing is, on the files I downloaded, there's no extra aircraft_fsx file to replace the old aircraft.cfg file with. Is this an omission or will the one cfg file work for both FS9 & FSX? Any info or assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated. I look forward to flying these remarkable aircraft!

Nevermind...I found the answer in the Boeing support section. Thank you again for this great release!

Which aircraft type are you referring to ?
Need to know this first before I can provide an answer .... or .... confirm you've arrived at the correct conclusion.
Some installations instructions do differ .... by necessity.

The aircraft type I am referring to is the Boeing 737-300, -400 & -500 that you just added. I use FSX and in the readme file for installation instructions, it indicated that I need to change the aircraft.cfg file to the aircraft_fsx.cfg file if installing into FSX. However, there isn't an aircraft_fsx.cfg file in the base packs for any of the Boeing 737 models recently uploaded. I saw int he Boeing support forum that the Boeing aircraft are FSX portable so I am assuming that the one aircraft.cfg file is good for either FS9 or FSX. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. Thanks again!

The only reason for separate FS9 and FSX aircraft.cfg files on HJG aircraft is because of a change in the way smoke effect data is represented between the two sim versions. This means that on aircraft with high-bypass turbofans (which lack smoke effects as they don't emit noticeable smoke) there will only be one aircraft.cfg file.

It would appear generic HJG base pack installion instructions was used.
There is no FSX specific CFG or AIR file related data for any of these B737's .... and now is there intended to be .... for reasons explained by George.
