The tail light is part of the texturing.
And if as far as I know, not all airlines have this option in their acfts.
Maybe the one you're using is one of those.
Have nice flights.

Hi Martin
The only way you can add tail lighting is to create new fin night textures with the lighting added on.
So you are stuck with what you have.

Hello, I think you might have an issue with "dual guage" folders in your FS 2004. This just happened yesterday to me! So I moved the instruments to my second Guages folder and I placed these same three guages into my 707 aircraft panel folder too. Without the panel bitmaps. I do not know why this worked... I am guessing that it is because xp home is different than xp full version. Or it is just a quirk with my PC! This method worked with the DC-8-50 too. "I spent nearly 8 hours to get the 8 panel working. It was worth it!! Click and Check your C/ D drive and see if you have flight sim files "prior" to clicking on your program files. The installation instructions stated guages but not the path to it. I have to assume that the HJC has full windows version. Could I possibly be right? Whenever this happens look for any dual folders and try the next guage folder. If all else fails try placing the entire folder with guages and bitmaps and panel cfg into your aircraft folder. I know the intructions must work for most members but I have only gotten my panels to work completely by trial and error. I follow Baseball strategy I take three swings if I strike out then I look for help.

Some did .... though most didn't .... depending on the carriers/operators choice. Tail/logo lighting only really came into vogue during the early 1970's just as a lot of airlines were pteparing to dispose of their B707 & D8 fleets .... hense most neve bothered installing it.
From memory the AEROCONDOR COLOMBIA B707-120B's & B720-B's had this feature. It is replicated in our repaints of these. I suppose you could try "borrowing" the tail_left_L bitmap and apply it to your repaint of choice.
You shouldn't end up with a wrong texture as a result because it's only a lighting/illumination texture .... as I understand.

I have checked what I have on my drive for the 120's. All my exterior lighting (nav/strobe) works. The only reason these should not work is that you have either deleted the "Lights" entry in the Aircraft.cfg file, or you no-longer have the default light effects in your effects folder. As far as the inability to see ground landing light beams in 2-d mode, I already know I missed that, and I am working on the resolution to it. Cheers, Gary

Thanks, Gary.
I've re-installed most of the important files for my 707s, and everything seems to be working correctly now. I don't know what I missed, but it was obviously something important.

Mark C AKl/NZ Right....I forgot that it was not the older LM system for night texture..sorry...............What Mark is saying here should work. Thanks for that Mark Garry
