Too bad. It is also a copy of a couple of other airlines,,,except for the colours...like Qantas.
I would have thought Lufthansa designers\artists would have been able to come up with something more original.IMO.

We'll all adapt to it .... eventually .... and since at least 1 aircraft is already supporting the revised LH livery I guess there's no back-peddling now. A number of us didn't like the new/current AA livery either when it was first unveiled a few years ago too .... but .... most of us have since accepted, and even got to like, it by now. I remember when QANTAS transitioned into the first version of their current livery (applied to the B747-300 EUD back in 1984) the "traditionalists" among many of us didn't like it either (too bland we all thought at the time) .... BUT .... look how we've all adapted to it since .... and we're already in a generation of airline enthusiasts whom never new, or saw, OF's orange/ocher stribe based livery of the late 1960's through early 1980's era .... any more than I saw the 1950's version. I do remember, and did see, the QF "V-JET" livery on their B707's though .... essentially providing clues now as to my age I guess a lot of us simply don't like to accomodate change (if it can be helped) .... or rather .... it takes some of us a wee while to "have to" adapt to it .... and that may be the case in the case of this new/latest LH image too. AS I MENTIONED RECENTLY ON ANOTHER FORUM AND I REGARD TO THIS NEW LH IMAGE .... It's "CLEAN" .... and "FRESH" looking .... and certainly in-line with the current new trend of much simpler (and possibly cheaper to apply and easier maintain too) modern airline livery styles around the world that have graced us since the mid 1980's .... BUT .... it's a pity the Crane tail logo (at least) wasn't "gold" (or even yellow) .... just to break down that apparent huge monotony of blue and white.
Still .... a fresh new corporate look is obviously what they wanted rather than clinging to the art of their past/hitherto psychedelic tradition/s.And ufter alles zed und done .... I do .... still .... feel a "gold" (or even yellow) Crane logo would have had the positive effect of maybe adding more of "a touch of class" to this new LH image Apart from that .... "ja das izt gutt .... alles gutt" Mark C AKL/NZ

I like it. Now if it was red, it would remind me of something. Hmmm, I can’t quite put my finger on it! Nathan

Hello, Yes .. but you certainly noticed that Qantas are keeping their iconic red colour in all their logos versions For Lufthansa it's a drastic change .. they let down the yellow who was the symbol trought the ages of Lufthansa aircraft and not only as all related to Lufthansa have the yellow color on it But the tastes and colors .. everyone chooses Regards.

I like the old, but then again I am old and dont like change for changes sake, Lufthansa like BA changed to a livery (in BA's case world tails) that the public did not like. I think the yellow on the tail is a given and should have stayed, I am not a lover of Quantas either.... I like old, old is good

"QANTAS" .... it's an acronym meaning QUEENSLAND AND NORTHER TERRITORIES AIR SERVICE Not QUANTAS .... Queensland ("Underworld") And Northern Territories Air Service Personally (and this's just me) .... I liked the BA World Tails concept .... but .... But .... BUT .... the airline perhaps could have, and maybe should have, been better advised, or, maybe could have, and maybe, should have consulted more openly on that particular subject of change prior to applying it. That certainly would have avoided the furore (by some) that followed .... not to mention the saving of millions of dollars applying, and then removing, and then redoing, the tails of all those aircraft that were done. On the other hand .... it shouldn't have been Rocket Science for those at the top (in BA) to not to anticipate some/may not liking their WT concept ....given the POME's are a very proud people, with a proud history (with past traditions carried forward into today), and every right to be I guess the BA WT concept artist might have done well out of it all though .... from the beginning at least Mark C AKL/NZ

That petty much summarizes the airline industry .... I think .... at least "downunder" and in respect of the QANTAS/AIR NEW ZEALAND rivalry The Roo that "CAN DO" Bloody good good service on QF .... on long-haul ,,,, I used them constantly on the AKL/LAX route until their withdrawal forced me to "have to" go back to NZ .... and more recently AA due to their now flying to AKL/LAX and offering almost seamless inter-connectivity over the AKL/LAX/MIA/BOG route Don't get me wrong NZ is "superb" too .... but .... QF "does" have a slight edge over them .... I feel ;0 Mark C AKL/NZ

Yes indeed it was Tony, the Iconic Maple Leaf Rondelle is back on our tails again, and later this month new uniforms will be rolled for all customer service/ramp staff too. Benoit
