Another one just added .... an ESTONIAN AIR B737-500 this time.
Tallinn based ESTONIAN AIR was formed and commenced during 1991 .... as the state owned airline of Estonia. Between 1991 and 1996 it operated classic soviet built AN-2, YAK 40, and TU-134A aircraft .... then from 1996 it operated ATR-42-500, B737-300, B737-500, CRJ-900NG, EMB-170, and SAAB 340 aircraft .... servicing Brussels, Copenhagen, Kiev, London, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Stockholm, Trondheim, Vienna and Vilnius .... as well as Amsterdam, Berlin, Nice, Oslo, and Paris during the summer season only. The airline developed strong links with SAS .... which included co-ordination of some of its flight schedules in accordance with those of the tri-partite Scandinavian airline, code sharing, and use of SAS fascilities at hub airports. On November 7th 2015 the European Commission ruled that that the airlines government provided subsidies had been in breach of European Union regulations. ESTONIAN AIR being unable to repay these subsidies then ceased operations on November 8th 2015 and was liquidated. A new state-owned airline .... NORDICA .... was immediately established and commenced operations on the same day.
