For starters
.... have you read the installation intructions which accompany each B727-200 base pack ?
"STEP 5" of these states a model folder name (any one of those supplied within any B727-200 base pack) must be edited into the MODEL= data line within FLTSIM.XX/Add To Aircraft CFG data for each texture
It also states as follows ....
Have you read PP1 of the forum manual also ?
tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/7819/b727-panels-installation-handling-notes "SECTION 1.07 "BOEING 727 MODEL REPRESENTATION" provides a brief illustrated description of each of the 3D models we provide .... though
"SECTION 1.13 B727 TEXTURE FILES" is the important part concerning textures and what one must do.
Alternatively but just as importantly too .... have you read the following forum based service posting on our "BOEING SUPPORT" forum page ?
"IF YOUR B727 DOES NOT DISPLAY - READ THIS ?tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8349/b727-simulation-display-readOther than explaining why the situation requiring this "very minor" CFG edit has become necessary the
"ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" section .... steps 1-7 within this particular above-linked document .... states even more simply what needs being done also .... and which amounts to nothing more than reading a list, noting the model and base pack recommendations beside each subject, and applying the selected texture subject to these according .... along with "a single (only) FLTSIM.XX/CFG edit "
What I'm saying here is .... all of the necessary explanatory information "IS available here. It's quite simple and comprehensive, but, it must be followed .... in the case of the B727-200's at least. Issues only arise (and since late 2015 only 4 have been reported) when people don't follow these instructions .... and try winging it
The reason your base pack/model/texture combination is not appearing within the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu is most likely because you've not assigned a Model folder name to the MODEL= data line within the FLTSIM.XX data accompanying your texture
.... but .... I accept other unrelated CFG discrepencies could cause this too since it "has" been known to happen .... because even we're "not" infallible
Do that .... and make sure your very first FLTSIM.XX entry reads [FLTSIM.0] too .... and this council will/should then resolve your issue completely
In regard to your selected 1977 CONTINENTAL B727-200 ADV texture (if an authentic base pack/texture/model configuration is desired) .... and just to fast-track trouble-shooting your issue for you ....
- Go to our following forum based
"B727 TEXTURE INVENTORY" ....
tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/6297/vl-hjg-b727-texture-inventory- Scroll down to its
"HJG B727-200 SERIES TEXTURE/BASE PACK/MODEL CONFIGURATION" section .... and then on-scroll down to the
"BOEING 727-200 ADVCNCED" sub section in particular.
- Locate your preferred Continental Airlines 1977 subject within this texture list .... everything's listed in alphabetical order.
- Beside the listed subject note the recommended Model folder name (for this particular texture this information reads
"NTL") .... and also note the Aircraft Base Pack recommendation too (for this particular texture this information reads [n]"B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-9"[/b]).
- Therefore ..... download the "B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-9" Aircraft Base Pack .... add your "1977 CONTINENTAL AIRLINES" texture to it .... and then edit the MODEL= data line of its accompanying FLTSIM.XX data to read "NTL" as is bold typed in red per the following specimen below .... in fact I suggest you copy & paste the following information (precisely as is presented below) directly to you CFG file so there can be no further error ....

All B727 panel and audio assignments are stated within PP1 of our above-linked online forum manual.
Again .... all of the necessary information is provided and "IS" quite simple to follow
PLEASE NOTE ....
Any B727-200 texture can be used with any B727-200 base pack and model combination (there's no BMP mapping differences among any of these models) .... but .... in the case of all B727-200 textures uploaded before October 2015 it's imperative the MODEL= data line within the FLTSIM.XX data for each of these subject "must be edited" with the name of a Model folder from any B727-200 base pack (as per the base pack installation instructions) .... or the texture will not be recognized and displayed by FS.
All B727-200 textures uploaded after October 2015 will/should already feature the necessary MODEL= data line edit and don't/shouldn't require any such attention at all
