"TG" .... FYI ....
The F-28 soundpack Benoit and I produced (during 2008 actually and for FS2004 only) represents the following engine marque only ....
Rolls Royce Spey 555-15P (JUNIOR SPEY)
As I mentioned above .... it was never released by us publicly (so far as I'm aware) having been produced for a SA base VA.

Hi,
I found those sounds you made for the F-28 way back in 2008 if you or anyone else would like the zip.

I flew the F-28 quite a bit when I used FS2004, I would enjoy flying it again if we could port the panel over to FSX, nevertheless I will join the rest of the team and provide new and updated sound packs for it should we get permissions to host Project Fokker Jetline.

Where did you locate it "TG" ? Because Benoit and I never released it publicly. I'm just "CURIOUS" Can you PM the/any details to me ? Bear in mind whilst we made that soundpack back I 2008 .... it was good "for its time", but, as Benoit (I'm sure) will agree .... what he can do now is "VASTLY SUPERIOR" given what we now know/have learned over he past more than 10 years. Again .... I don't what to get peoples hopes up regarding this possibility .... because it may, or may not, ever happen. Mark C AKL/NZ

I know that the panel’s became an issue with Windows Vista onwards. I used to love Project Fokker as well, but when I changed to Win 7 I had to let them go. To bring them up to speed would require rewriting the gauge files. But there are probably some very clever people out in the flightsim community that would come to the table to get PF airborne again. If only we could find the team. Would it be worth putting a message out on Avsim, you know like desperately speaking Susan.
Cheers,
Nathan.

Nathan, I fly the Fokkers (F28 and F70/100) using Win7 without any problems at all. I recall there was an issue with "shaking", even with Windows XP, but that was solved by deactivating the media player in the F28 panel.cfg.

I can confirm using the F100 and F28 using W7 with no problems at all and with the native panels.

Even from the perspective of a regular simmer using HJG provided simulations, who has next to zero insight into what happens at HJG behind the closed doors, the staggering amount of effort involved in maintaining this ongoing process of creating new simulations, upgrading existing ones and offering support for them, is quite evident. And because anything less than a job well done is not something HJG is interested in, as they've proven over the years, current projects (which I'm sure are both numerous and very energy and time consuming) ought to be finished before new ones can be tackled. Starting new ambitious projects while one intensively works at several existing ambitious projects, before finishing the later, is a receipt for chaos and more stress, so I can see why for the time being at least, hosting the "Project Fokkers" at HJG is just a nice thought. To say nothing of obtaining the rights from the original authors. Having said that, once the conditions are met for this nice thought to potentially materialize, I agree 100%, the "Project Fokkers" are, in my opinion, some of the most worthy old, freeware and discontinued simulations that ought to call HJG their new home. They are perfect for HJG - a bunch of complete (as opposed to bear models like POSKY) established/old simulations of a pretty good quality, recreating historic jetliners (even the F70/100 are already retro birds) comprising several variations of each aircraft type, which no longer have a stable home (so you have to search bits and pieces of them all over the net, not quite knowing where to find THE base package among multiple such packages, and their multiple upgrades, in addition to the lack of support). And as usual with such simulations, they could undoubtedly be vastly improved here and there thanks to the expertise of various HJG members. So when the time is right, I'd definitely want to see the PJFs here at HJG. I just hope the original authors can be reached and that thy'd agree to let their babies be adopted by HJG. There is an upgrade for the PF F70/100 called the "V3 Add-on" (there used to be earlier versions, but this latest V3 contains all previous upgrades). It adds CAT III autoland among others, but it's not a very realistic autoland, because it's too "independent". It even operates the landing gear, flaps, autobrakes, spoilers, autothrottle, landing lights and so on. It basically also simulates the pilot, not just the autopilot. There are also third-party improvements available for the F70/100, my favorite being Hamed Bahmani's panel, which adds vastly more realistic glass gauges, BUT...it comes with its own problems. It doesn't include the autoland nor the other features included in the Project Fokker V3 upgrade, even though it includes the necessary gauges for those functions. I modified Hamed Bahmani's panel myself, so it includes some of those PF V3 upgrades. Additionally, that panel strangely doesn't include the necessary gauges for the overhead, I had to add them myself from the original PF package. This is how the original PF glass gauges look like: And this is how the glass gauges look like in Hamed Bahmani's panel: I only now realized that there's an upgrade for the F28 as well from project Fokker, due to this thread. Gonna check that too.

I would use V2 as this doesn not have those horrible additions to the panel.
