Just installed a number of the Boeing 727-100s and 200s from your site into my FSX program, and as always enjoy the product very much.
An oddity - not a problem - is that the overhead panel for any of these aircraft is not appearing after the panel is installed. All panels are placed into the "FSFSCONV" folder as instructed. The FS9 panel .cfg file which is the default .cfg file for the panel is eliminated and the enclosed FSX panel .cfg file is activated IAW instructions provided. Panel core files are installed as well, per instructions. Overhead panel does not appear when the "up" arrow icon is pressed. I get a lovely view of that beautiful blue sky through the sun roof, though.
This is not a problem, I can start the engines using my keyboard keys and every other aux. panel appears and functions exactly as the directions say they will.
I am working around this issue. Just wanted to let you know about this in case anyone writes in with it.

I think .... from memory .... there is an issue in regard to the sun panel selection icons "in FSX only".
As I recall .... I think the sub panel selection icons (or at least some of them) on the main panel do not work "in FSX".
The O/H sub panel "DOES" work in FSX though, but, you will probably need to use the SHIFT+ keyboard commands in order to make it appear.
So far as I am aware .... this is the only limitation of our B727 panels when these are used in FSX .... everything else is/should be fine .... other that the fact you will not have any interior flightdeck side views "in FSX" either.

The B727 panel O/H sub panel definitely works/displays in FSX .... as is evidenced per the following video (made by Benoit) which was made "in FSX" to demonstrate our B727 soundpacks prior to their release ....
There 2 parts to this O/H .... (1) a partial O/H sub panel with lighting switches only .... and (2) the full O/H panel featuring all other items.
Revising our B727 manual .... in regard to keyboard command related sub panel views in particular .... it seems there may not be a SHIFT+ keyboard command to open/close the O/H sub panel and that access may be strictly per the triangular icon among the sub panel selection icons located within the lower left portion of each B727 main panel.
Have you made any adjustment/s to either the panel BMP's or PANEL CFG ?
Again .... it does/should work "in FSX" .... as evidenced per the above video, but, I'm not sufficiently familiar with FSX to be able to advise more conclusively that I so far have here.

You know, I thought that was the case. I see in the panel cfg for FSX the light panel is actually labeled "overhead panel," while [Window 13] (I think - don't have it open right now) which is the other half of the overhead panel, is not labeled. However, I've used that panel straight "out of the box" and the upward-pointing arrow gives me only blue sky. Sorry.

I re-installed the 727 panel in my FSX and I'm unable to fault what you are describing, icon for the o/h panel working just fine as it did when I made those videos.

One other thing you may want to try is.
Select "View" and scroll down to the "Overhead Panel" and click on it.

OK, will give that a shot.
EDIT: That did it!
Only fly in the ointment is I can not "X" out of the panel once it's there (upper right corner "X"). Using the pull-down "inst panel" views from the menu bar works, though.
Once that panel is displayed, I can cycle through the various subpanels using the keyboard, and I can see the others are displaying in the background, however, unless I use the pull-down instrument panel listing I can not shut down this view. Interesting.

Hi ssi02, Which version of FSX are you using (FSX sp2, FSX Acceleration, FSX-SE)? Also, I’m wondering, is this a new installation or have you had success installing aircraft in the past? Did you make any other edits to the panel.cfg apart from relabeling, also are you running in full screen or windowed mode? We’ll get to the bottom of this for you Cheers, Nathan

That's exactly what I want to know too ....
Have any edits been applied to the PANEL.CFG ? .... in the form of other utilities (that our panels don't ship with) maybe having been added to and which may be completely unrelated to the main O/H sub panel, but, could (quite unwittingly/inocently) have an impact.

I don't know if this's worth a shot .... but .... years ago I seem to recall a certain sub panel not displaying properly within our DC-9 panels.
That particular issue was eventually traced to screen resolution.
I wonder if something similar might apply to these B727 panels too.
It'd be "a very rare" event if it did.

Glad to hear that my suggestion worked for you. At least now you have an OH Panel to work with, until a way is found for you to use the proper OH Panel arrow icon. Herman
