Thanks for your support "CANUCK" We appreciate peoples kind comments (those whom have take the time to express these) in regard to this re-release of our DC-10 project .... because it "IS" genuinely appreciated by all of us. We've studied, consulted, and worked hard in regard to this project over these past 3 years in order to make these simulations what they now are .... making them "more reflective of the DC-10's technology" and we hope you'll enjoy them for a while to come. Have fun folk .... and above all .... enjoy our new "BIG 10's" Mark C AKL/NZ

Anyone who's interested in real-world DC-10 documentation may find some (which appears to be for the DC-10-40I Japan Air Lines variant) here at smartcockpit.com. I can say categorically that without this documentation the detailed level of systems simulation represented by HJG's version 2.0 DC-10 panels could never have been achieved – the circuit breaker panel info was especially important, as even though I chose not to include it in my simulated panel, I still needed it to tell me which electrical bus powered each of the aircraft's systems and instruments (so I could simulate the aircraft's electrics realistically). Hope some of our users may find this interesting and useful! George

That's a great resource, George! Wish I had known about it sooner.

My only issue is that there is no "Wing Flex" On the initial EC release, the DC-10 HAD wingflex. As updates progressed, that disappeared. I'd like to see wing-flex return to the DC-10. Other than that, awesome job

What a great update!!! First the Mercure, and now the DC-10s with the new panels! Amazing work guys...just the documentation alone must have taken many hours of dedication. Your hard work and dedication to this hobby is much appreciated! Also, it looks like the bugs from the previous version with the engine fans not spinning and landing gear door gaps on some of the models have all been corrected! What a great treat, I'm off to read the new manuals Thanks again for your hard work

I implied our position in regard to GMAX/wing flex on "October 19th 2017" .... in response to both your querying it back then within the following thread .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8739/new-dc-panel-preparations-phase?page=1.... and within my own initiating/first posting of that same thread on "October 18th 2017". Our position remains unchanged from what I've previously implied .... in the sense of our being "limited" (3D modelling-wise) since we've never had the full model source code to work with and nor do we have "a GMAX modeller" either. In any case .... and given both the FDE and audio advances applied to these simulations along with the significantly improved panel functionality now provided also .... I hardly consider anyone's majorly disadvantaged by the absence of GMAX/wing flexing .... should it not have been incorpotatd into this re-release. There's things we can and can't do Mark C AKL/NZ

"MIRAGEIIIC" .... thanks for that kind acknowledgement We aim to please .... and least we try to .... limited only by the extent of resources available to us and our own know-how. The team here "worked their guts out" on this project. Once you're through the learning curve associated with these new DC-10 simulations .... aided by the very extensive manual data we provide (lots of tutorials there) .... we hope you'll enjoy them. In fact we're pretty sure you will Thanks again Mark C AKL/NZ

FYI .... I've just added a wee bit more to "SECTION 2.00" (only) of our new DC-10 manual .... and corrected a duplicated "section sub number" too tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/9147/dc10-panel-installation-handling-notesAll I've dome is add panel/sub panel gauge descriptions and illustrations for the FO side MP .... covering the upper MP OH, AP/MCP, and MP primary flight instruments since the order of their apprarance on these FO side panels/sub panels is not only reversed from that of the captain side, but, the FO side MP also features some instrumrentation not included on the captain side. I feel these additions make the manual "a little more thorough" now PLEASE NOTE: None of the tutorials or recommended/prescribed procedures have been altered in any way shape or form. Mark C AKL/NZ

There are literally no words to properly express the gratitude I have for everyone involved in bringing this set of gems to fruition. It would seem to me that the older HJG gets, the more serous it gets - one 5 star simulation after the other, they just keep coming.
Thanks you, HJG team, to the Sun and back for your intense, prolonged and dedicated efforts, which yielded yet another simulation that easily makes it into the privileged class of the very best for FS9, freeware and not only. Definitely the best DC-10 FS9 has seen so far. I bow my head to all of you!!
Too bad my job gives me no spare time to properly dig into it any time soon.

Congratulations to the DC-10 team for the amazing Diesel 10 project. I hadn't realized this was in the works, and since I've been hoping for a deep DC-10 add-on for years now, this is a very nice surprise. Great job!

Seconded! And I have to add, Benoit is a musical artist with his sound packages. The sounds have been a common area where many (even payware) fs addons fall short. Having heard almost all the aircraft modeled by HJG in real life, I can attest that the sound packages are about as real as it gets. This project is excellent in every aspect! Thanks again to the whole team.
