Hey everyone, I don’t know if I’m really late on the scene, but after years of using Flightsim Commander to create my flight plans, I have come across this little gem! Little NavMap is a totally free flight planner that does everything that FSC and PFPX does only better! In fact it’s so good and still being updated that I highly recommend a donation to the author. Little NavMapAll I can say is, check it out Cheers, Nathan

I note that this flight planner does not support FS2004. I use simbrief, and it's a free website based planner. Simbrief supports all sim platforms and produces a highly detailed, professional flight plan complete with up to date weather, NOTAMS, etc in the flight briefing along with a detailed map, fuel loading etc etc It's easy to use as one just enters departure and arrival airport, and aircraft type, then generate the operational flight plan. If a real world flight has taken place recently, then simbrief will 'borrow' that flight plan. It will export the flight plan into all sims; the list is HUGE of sim export options. The only thing I've had to do in FS2004 is that simbrief uses the latest NAV database which obviously doesn't correspond to what's in FS2004. So I import the plan into FS and then edit it in terms of waypoints that don't exist in FS2004. Usually there's a waypoint very close in FS2004 to the modern waypoint that simbrief uses. www.simbrief.com/home/Mike

Nice find and what I really need for my FSX is a simple software with one click installation button to install all new waypoints into my FSX to replace old waypoints. Too bad there is none.

As stated it does not support FS9 sadly, but we have Navigator for that. I use Little NavMap in preference too FSC also and it has supplanted Plan-G (freeby) on my rig which I find locks up frequently. Also that seems not to be getting updated as often.

Bummer, I missed that it wasn’t for FS9, I was looking at XP-11 was FSX and P3d and made the cardinal sin of assuming.
My bad.

I have been thinking about FS9, if you open note pad and type in “I’m a dummy haha” and saved it as FSX. Next, you renamed FSX.txt to FSX.cfg, accepted the warning and placed it into you FS9 root directory, you would probably get all of the planing stuff to work, but maybe not the live FS stuff. You may have to tell it where the scenery.cfg is located if it can’t find it. Should work.
Cheers,
Nathan
