Hi all,
the last days I have noticed that some aircraft lights are not visible during daylight. It concerned mainly the NAV lights, the Strobos and the Beacon Lights. It happend to AC which I have not asigned to the REDUX Lights. The Landing and Taxi Lights are visible.
The Lights also are only visible during night conditiions in far distance (zoom out) and only from some angles left upper side and only for one side of the wings. Sometimes it seems that the lights are relocated inside the fuselage.
The only thing I have done with FS Settings was to deinstall the Virtual Col ATR42 Pack from the system. In this Pack I have seen the strobos more in blue-grey colors, also the navlights where very intensive.
Maybe I have deinstalled some fx.files. After checking in the effects folder of FS9 it seems all the neccesary files are there. Also one problem more. Since then I could not open die GPS MAP default FS9.
I you had the same experiance once in the past or can help out in this matter, please advise some hints.
Thank you for helping out in this matter
Grettings, Saludos
Michael

MZoe,
Bear in mind that I am using FSX. When I once had problems with those lights being in SQUARE instead of rounds, I simply used FSX's CD discs to select FSX's repair option instead of installation option during installation process and presto, it solved the light problem after it was doing some self repair process!!
Not sure if FS9's CD discs have repair function option.
Regards,
Aharon

Hi!
Thanks Aharon for the tip you gave me. But there is no such function provided in FS9.
Anyway after looking arround in the effect files i found out, that there are some bmp files missing. Dont know how the where deinstalled. In detail it was mainly the fx_2.bmp.
If anyone experince this problem just reinstall it from the orignal CD. You can find it on CD1 MSCAPCD1. There is the effect folder!
Greetings to all
Michael
