I want to use my own panel, but i cannot extend the landing lights, what comman is it connected to or which gauge is used?

There's a couple of packages over on simavation and flightsim.com that might have that version but they're converted for FSX use so I dunno if they'd work in FS2004.

Yeah, I think it would be easier to clarify what sim you're using, but if we are talking the Project Tupolev panel and air file, I believe the operation is the same for both versions, of which the operation of lights is located in the main panel, between the flap lever and nose wheel steering switches, one set of knobs operates the motors and the other the intensity of the lights IIRC (I've also just recently started learning its systems).

I’m using fs2004. I’m not using the original panel so I was wondering if there was key command I can press

Before we get too deeply immersed in this .... I need to say (in all due respect to Alex ) .... HJG can't really assist with the like of this sort of query (any more than HJG related matters on other forums be resolved properly/efficiently either from what I've seen in the recent past) .... ALTHOUGH HAVING SAID THIS .... Walter, our resident "specialist" in regard to the TU-154, is "by far" the most suitably/qualified person to advise .... if anyone can. Best await his advice, but once again, do bear in mind queries regarding other simulations are really best/most efficiently addressed on the forums of their respective developers In relation to the following .... I suggest "IF" there's any relationship between the PT panel/s and their models as well as their FDE's too (and their "possibly" is) .... then .... using any non-standard panel may result in the landing lights (and "maybe other features too) not working as one might expect. This's why many times in the past I've stated the one can't just chuck any panel on any other simulation and expect it to work similarly .... because it may not. Mark C AKL/NZ

Well if it's an alternative panel you could try checking if they use the same air file and if they are, try change the gauge line for the lights in the .cfg file for the standard PT and see if it works. I'm no expert but I'll try one of these and get back to you, <<if WalterLeo doesn't troubleshoot your problem in the meantime.>> xD.

Hi Friends: I am sorry, even after years of tinkering around with panels of many makes, one can advice only: Dont try it with the PT-simulations, as they are very complex and only the original panels will work together with the airfiles and models. trying otherwise one could end up with a not trimable airplane or a nonstarting one or worse. The original downloads of the PT simulations (also without VC) you find here: files.protu-154.org/index.htmlAs the main motive for not using the original panels is the complex startup procedure one could consider to fly the PT-IL62M, which has no FE panel and starts like the default C 172 in FS9. Even less refinded simulations of the IL-62 and the IL-18 Edgar Guinart has published: avsimrus.com/files.phtml?search=Edgar+Guinart&sopt_mode=or&in_folder=0&sopt_title=1&sopt_desc=1&sopt_author=1&sopt_fname=1&sopt_comms=1&ignore_folder=32%2C88%2C89%2C91%2C92%2C93%2C96%2C97%2C98%2C99%2C102%2C103%2C104%2C112&page=1But I know also the frustrations which are part of tinkering around with complex FS simulations, like since some days I am trying to make work the landing lights on a complex IL-18 without success. If one tries to fly a PT Tu-154 with a shorter startup procedure one can use also the PT Tu-154 B2. Kind regards Walter P.S.: Its not a consolation: Yesterday a gave up trying to install landing lights from one IL-18 simulation into another one, as the new landing lights forced the props into BETA with a huge braking effect. So its my "captains discretion" nice view: or working airplane: Besides: The problem is the switch to extend the LL. In Alex94 s case it could be also a problem of the extensión mechanism, which is electricaly driven and the non PT panel does not provide power to its motor.

I believe the PT landings lights are connected to the concorde nose visor function, but still dont function

In terms of external appearance, which is more accurate, vitamin or PT walter?

Hi: Vitamin seems for most repaints better, but for me the difference is not big.
Regarding the light switches: Did you ever try to install the light switches of the PT M panel to your panel?
gauge68=NN_pnk_154m_v1_36!AZS_FARY_F, 728,11,17,35 gauge69=NN_pnk_154m_v1_36!AZS_FARY_Kr, 697,9,17,37 gauge70=NN_pnk_154m_v1_36!AZS_FARY_Pol, 756,14,17,37 gauge71=NN_pnk_154m_v1_36!AZS_LAND_TAXI_F, 728,52,17,37 gauge72=NN_pnk_154m_v1_36!AZS_LAND_TAXI_Kr, 695,52,17,37
As in the PT-Tu-154M panel the Landing and Taxi lights are handled by gauges (=switches) not by FS9 key commands.
Kind regards
Walter
P.S.: PT Tu-154M Ver 2.02 should be installed. But having done that it will take less time to learn to "fly" with the original panel than to work around it.

Thank you so much! It now works One last question, version 2.02 seems to have no dynamic wingviews, but i cannot find an earlier version
