Hi all, I hope I am not infringing any rules here but I found this great website AVIAgrafix which features airliner art by Patrick Olave. I figured those of you who are clever enough to do repaints may be inspired by some of this mans wonderful illustrations and attention to detail. Please respect the copyright of his work but enjoy the site and the wonderful renditions of some of our favourite airliners and airlines. Cheers Tony YPPH aviagrafix.com/

As these prints/this artwork appear to be "marketed commercially" I've moved this thread here/to our "PAYWARE" section where it's more appropriately placed.

This sort of artwork (in a framed format) would be ideal to grace the wall of someone's den .... or as retirement gifts for long service personal whom have given a good proportion of their lives to the industry .... and perhaps even to some of the operators represented. The artwork "IS" superb I feel we/HJG could probably do more to assist "this artist" than he could do for us .... not that we're seeking help with anything I particular given the extensiveness of some of our own private reference data. Having been through "the lot" .... in regard to what's presented so far .... 98% of the subjects featured (among those aircraft HJG represents I mean) are already offered as textures by HJG anyway .... and have been for many years past. In fact I can spot 2 subjects only (both B727's .... one of which I've been keen to see done and offered here for many years past but without success so far) that HJG doesn't yet offer. As "TONY G" states within his opening address .... respect the copy right of the artists work an all accounts. Mark C AKL/NZ

Hi Mark,
Would that be the TAA 727 experimentsl silver tail?

NOPE .... we did the TAA metal tail back in 2009 .... .... in fact to my knowledge we already represent each of the ANSETT and TAA B727's "in -100" form .... and whatever's still missing "in -200 form" has already been claimed by one of our artists, so, it's just a question of time before it/they appear here too "THAT'S THE ONE" Nathan During the 1980's they even made a movie about "the animal" the aircraft was named after I actually saw, and photographed, that particular aircraft on it's one and only trip to AKL during 1984. We'd "have to" use our own independent references though since we "can't" use those of someone else's copy righted artwork .... except for post production" comparison/analysis re the placements of certain details". I'll prepare independent data in regard to the 2 subjects I've identified (that we don't currently have) and offer/distribute this internally. Mark C AKL/NZ
