COVID-19 is spinning a wide web now...
And guess where I was tonight?
Yup... NBA G-League basketball game. With 2 Raptors at it that were in Utah 2 days ago... So yes, now I'm worried.

I'm more afraid of effects this virus is having on the human psyche than the virus itself. As a comparison, here are the estimates for the “standard” flu for this 2019/2020 season starting October: www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htmEstimated cases: 34 up to 49 million Estimated deaths: 20 to 52 thousand Current US COVID cases: 1300 Current US COVID deaths: 38 And the US death total is skewed by the 23 in one nursing home in Seattle. No doubt those numbers will go up as more testing comes online, but that could have the effect of lowering the death percentage as more people with infection are counted. Anyone recall the H1N1 virus of 2009?? literally greater than 10 to 100x the number of infected and deaths, yet the country didn't shut down. No cancellation of sporting events etc. The mass hysteria is what is going to do us in, not the virus itself, as we self-implode our own economies. Sorry for the non-aviation post, but a consequence here in the US is that the airlines are now under as much of a strain as post 9/11 due to this virus. Mike

Mike, I have to agree. Why is it that in this day most people panic and over react. When Iwas a kid I had all the kids diseases except for Polio. You name it our family had it. And we survived. Well I think I'm here for real. lol

I suppose it was only inevitable, but I'm definitely bummed that the NCAA tournaments got cancelled as well. Two of my three favorite teams had bids and stood to make deep runs this year.
