Well glad you like those... have one more... a bit rarer... N220AM, 707-138B, Airmark, circa 1985 and... N37NY, 737-4Y0 circa 2007 Owned by MSG Enterprises, division of Cablevision... Owner of the New York Nicks NBA Team and New York Rangers NHL team and yes this is the normal team plane for both at the time, and now only the Rangers as all NBA teams use Delta. There is another newer version of this plane to come.

Interesting choice that AIRMARK B707-138B Peter. We had her/N138TA come through AKL/NZAA (a private charter for Saudia prince Nawarf Aziz Abdul Al Saud) during 1985 .... and which I photographed at the time and in that particular livery. This aircraft is quite a significant airframe in the history of the B707. It was the first of the rare B707-138 series aircraft produced by BOEING (of which only 13 were ever produced .... all for QANTAS .... delivered between 1959 and 1964 .... the last of which remained in service with the airline until 1969), the first B707 to be delivered to QANTAS AIRWAYS, and as such it was also the first B707 to be delivered by BOEING to a civil customer outside the USA. It first flew on March 20th 1959 (N31239) .... and was delivered to QANTAS AIRWAYS (VH-EBA "City Of Melbourne"(on July 16th 1959. It was converted to a B707-138B (modified with P&W JT3D-1 fanjet engines, tail, wing, and other systems enhancements during September 1961). It was sold to PACIFIC WESTERN AIRLINES (CF-PWV .... later re-registered C-FPWV) on November 3rd 1969 .... then sold to TIGERAIR (N138TA) on October 19th 1978 .... and then sold to AIRMARK (N220AM) on September 1st 1984. It was next sold to COMMUNITY TRANSPORT on December 31st 1985 .... and later re-registered "N138MJ" .... then sold to the SAUDIA GOVERNMENT (HZ-123) on July 1st 1987. It was withdrawn from service during August 1999 and stored at Southend, Essex, in the UK. It's likely this aircraft would have been scrapped there .... had it not been for the motivations of QANTAS AIRWAYS whom funded a group of its retired engineers (all ex-B707 specialists) to restore this particular aircraft to flying condition and return it to Australia. This mission was successfully accomplished by 2007 and the aircraft .... re-registered "VH-XBA" was flown back to Australia .... and is currently exhibited at the QANTAS FOUNDERS MUSEUM, Longreach, Australia, as VH-EBA .... the airlines first/original B707. Here's a video program about the restoration of this aircraft at Southend and its return to Australia .... present in 6 short segeents .... So I've decided to fill in the 707-138B list a bit... Here is SU-FAA Egyptair 1983 Originally VH-EBJ on delivery to QF in 1962. Egyptair operated 2 -138Bs, SU-FAA and FAB, both for less than a year 82-83. Last reported derelict Cairo in 2003, scrapped sometime there after. Later version coming soon (Misr Overseas)

As promised... SU-FAA circa 1985, Misr Overseas: Misr operated 3 707s, 2 -138Bs (SU-FAA/FAB) and 1 707-323C (SU-FAC) in a different color scheme already in the library. The -138Bs don't seem to of lasted too long in service, but the -323C served till 1992 when the airline folded. Both -138Bs were sold back to Boeing and eventually ended up as KC-135E fodder in 1986. I may do SU-FAB as well as it is slightly different, kept more of the Egypt Air livery including the gold stripe, and was sold to "West Coast" in 1985, but will be later if i do.

and now D-ABAQ 707-138B Air Commerz 1972 Very short lived German charter airline, had 2 707-138Bs and 2 Viscount 808s... lasted about 18 months. D-ABAQ was impounded in Ireland for 6 months, only operated for the airline for about 8 months otherwise. Originally VH-EBF, this plane went on to THY, El Al and Bouraq before being registered to a private enterprise in the US, impounded by the IRS and finally broken up at Marana in the early 90s.

Another surprising one we were missing... N93134, 707-138B, Boeing 707 Turbo Fan demonstrator, 1961 Delivered to QANTAS as VH-EBH and one more Private one... N790FA, "Lowa Ltd" 1979 Originally VH-EBB

You've been "BUSY" Pete .... I'd say we're getting pretty close to having represented just about every livery ever supported by the B707-138B's. Only 13 of this B707 version were ever produced by BOEING .... all for QANTAS .... but .... each of these 13 aircraft ended up flying with many other carriers from 1967 and after their QANTAS service .... and fortunately a couple still remain intact today.
