Hola! next of a my series of challenging Airports and Arrivals. This time we fly Colombias Destination SKPS Pasto Airport with en Elevation of 5960 feet, enbedded in mountainious area. Starting at Quito SEQU we took the RNAV arrival into Rwy 02. For my opinion even a lot more difficult then in Toncontin. Nice little scenery anhancement for SKPS by Detlev Rohmer found on Avsim.com and Mesh from Worl mesh files found on Flightsim.com (Files SA01,SA22). Again for you to give it a try. I had a lot of fun. Here the video of the real thing youtu.be/ASGMLaYY-nUHave fun and good luck to all of you! Regards Michael

Hi Aharon! Thank you for enjoying this FS Video. You can find this panel and others depending on the 727 series on HJG download section/panels. These are even workable in FsX you are using. even you can find the outstanding sound files there and different models of the 727. Greetings Michael

Otra bonita presentación Miguel Camilo will be please to see his AV B721 texture being put to goo use "PASTO" .... a la Republic de Colombia .... mi otro hogar/my other home away from home Like most of Colombia it's "a pretty part of the planet" (a lot of Colombia is b-e-a-u-t-I-f-u-l being geographically defined by its abundance of hills, mountains .... often within very close proximity to major airports located on high altitude plateaus. Whilst I've travelled extensively around Colombia over the past 20 years "PASTO" was always one of those places I've tended to "avoid" .... given it had "a somewhat dangerous reputation (nothing at all to do with aviation and flying environments or anything like that) up until a dozen, or so, years ago due to significant paramilitary activity within that region of Colombia .... which, sadly, continues to be a scourge that molests/disadvantages this otherwise "beautiful country" even now Miguel .... just a suggestion for you to consider .... People can use whatever they wish .... of course .... BUT .... try using our own B727 sound packs. What you're currently using "seems" (although I disagreeessment could be caused by playback "as I'm hearing it here") to be something else .... and something more resemblant of a B737-200 sound pack blended with other audio elements. The sound packs we offer (produced by our Benoit PLAMONDON) are recorded externally and internally from "the real thing .... and for our B727 simulations are offered in P&W JT8D-7, P&W JT8D-8/-15/-17, and P&W JT8D-217 form, and are available as "separate" FS2004 and fSX version files (I think these are also offered as separate "FD" (Flight Deck) and "WV" (PAX Cabin/Wing View) POV based audio versions too) .... and are "the only" FS sound packs compiled for these simulations "strictly in accordance with the FDE files and panels we offer" .... which "are not" the FDE provided with the original VL release/s or the original RP panel. The defining factor of our "FD" (Flight Deck) based audio is much less engine sound is apparent .... given that with engines mounted aft all/most of the noise is down the back and is therefore far less audible up-front (same as applied to the BAC ONE-ELEVEN, CARAVELLE, DC-8, TRIDENT, and VC-10 also). The defining factor of our "WV" (PAX Cabin/Wing View) based audio is much more engine sound is apparent .... for the same reasons as expressed above. "IF" you're already using the audio we provide then I disagreeessment my be influenced by your possibly using "WV" sound pack for Panel View, so, check which audio you're actually using and maybe be prepared to swap files Again .... presentación muy bonita Mark C AKL/NZ

Hola y muchisimo gracias!
Indeed, the paintsheme of camilos 1971 Avianca 721 is one of the best. I like them more then the usual "red ones".
What I know from Colombia is more what I have seen in documentations or movies. But it is still a country on top of my Travel List which I would like to see in the next years. Meanwhile I have my South
American feeling on the Island I live (Canarian Islands) .-))
For the sound: I had a look into the sound foulder of the 721 and can confirm the JT8D-7 sounds installed but with Wing and External Views. I like the sound of the engine spool up and the flap extending
sound. so cool .-)) But I will try the other ones with a freighter version
Lets see whats coming next.
Stay cool and healthy ALL
Michael

Gracias Miguel If you use, and like, the audio version you have and that we offer then you're obviously content .... for your stated reasons .... and that's fine It's other "non-HJG" audio options that likely won't/can't work as well with our simulations .... simply through it not having been compiled in accordance with our own FDE parameters. I should have stated (above) that both the "FD" and "WV" sound packs use the same external tones .... "for each of the 3 B727 type JT8D version we represent" and which are "different". As mentioned yesterday .... it's the interior audio ambiance which differs considerably between the simulated PAX cabin and flight deck POV environments .... as I described yesterday Vica las Islas Canarias Mark C AKL/NZ
