I've been able to fly several aircraft in P3D v4.5 that had their genesis in FSX. Some aircraft by Milton Shupe, & the RealAir team. I believe it has something to do with them having the foresight to code in .XML??, [not sure if its is .XML], & what they coded transcended FSX into P3D .
The HJG has many historic aircraft & liveries I would really like to fly in P3D v4.5, unfortunately I no longer have FSX.
I am wondering if anyone has successfully taken HJG FSX aircraft & got them going in P3D, ideally P3D v4.5??

HJG simulations "are not" P3D portable/compatible .... except with some of the very earliest versions of this program and even then not entirely without issues. Compatibilities/Portabilities are restricted to FS2004 and FSX as is as is stated with the following link/permanent forum announcement .... and elsewhere within this forum .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8910/fsx-compatible-portableI wouldn't entertain much hope of these simulations ever becoming P3D (or anything else compatible) compatible/portable in the future. As has been stated recently, to a number of parties whom have approached us privately, there are to many issues in regard to supporting data that's either been "lost over the past 20 years or is otherwise now incomplete' .... and/or ... we aren't in any position to be able authorize other peoples modification of data that's "not ours to start with". My advice therefore is .... "enjoy what's offered whilst one can" but within the realms of the currently supported platforms. Mark C AKL/NZ
