Hi, it's me again. Would like to know if these textures are best used with the JT8D-7 or JT8D-9 base packs....
Air Canada 1979, C-FTOT Air Florida 1978, N60AF Air One 1997, I-TIAR Baltic Intl 1993, YL-BAA Kiity Hawk 1999, N561PC Southern Airways 1978, N9357 Texas Intl 1976, N1305T
Thanks in advance.

Most DC-9-10's were powered by the JT8D D-7 (there were a few exceptions though that were powered by, or later re-engine with, the D-9 though) .... so .... use the D-7 panel and our DC-9 JT8D EARLY sound pack. JT8D-9/-15/-17 versions all use our DC-9 JT8D LATE sound pack .... tonal differences within the high power end of each sound packs define the two apart. Bear in mind also that our DC-9 panels and sound packs are "FS9 customised" only. These panels can't work in FSX .... and although the sound packs will run in FSX they "will not" result in the audio play back we desire. ALSO .... be aware the ADD TO AIRCRAFT data for "all" DC-9 textures (as well as those for the B727's also) uploaded here during the past 2 years does state precisely .... per a foot note (//) .... which aircraft base pack, panel, and sound should be used (at least it will if it's a file processed by me). Textures uploaded prior to 2 years ago mostly won't feature this information, but, people cam, and are welcome to, ask here .... just as you have Mark C AKL/NZ

Just checked my production records and can now "confirm" all of the above listed DC-9-10 texture subjects were indeed P&W JT8D-7 powered aircraft, so, install these within the appropriate D7 base packs, panels, and with the early DC-9 JT8D EARLY sound pack.
Be aware also .... if using our DC-9 panels it's essential to ensure these are "paired with the correct/equivalent aircraft type/engine type base packs" (in other words D-7 base packs with D-7 panels etc for each DC-9 type) .... or the panels built-in weight computer will generate erroneous V-speed calculations as well as either over or under performance issues becoming apparent too.
