I just downloaded and installed, (in FSX), the 737-300 and a few textures from the library. Everything works good, except that all of them have blacked out windshields. Completely opaque. If you look at the thumbnails of the same textures in the library, they all have transparent glass. What am I missing?

Just a couple of quick questions, are you running DX10 preview in FSX? Are you using FSX sp2? Which 737 repaints? I will have a look at how things are on my FSX-SE tomorrow, but as Mark has said, a little bit more info would be very helpful.
Cheers, Nathan

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back, but I got called in to do an extra 21 hours last week then Sunday we had a major car race on in Australia that I just couldn't miss. P.s. Congratulations Mark on a Kiwi winning the Bathurst 1000. Ok.... Looking at the video I posted and the following pics, I can confirm that the cockpit windows are not showing up as a transparent tint in FSX-SE like they do in FS2004. The beginning of the video didn't render the windows at all for some reason so aren't an accurate representation. I'll talk with the other members of the HJG team, but I could not reproduce the blacked out windows you seem to be having problems with. Cheers, Nathan Sorry to reignite an old thread, but the photos you’ve posted here show the exact problem I am having with all of the 737 Classics from HJG in FSX. Do you know how I can make the cockpit windows transparent like they are in the photos posted by aerofoto earlier in the thread? if you need anymore information from me to work out why this is happening, I’d be happy to provide it.

Do you know how I can make the cockpit windows transparent like they are in the photos posted by aerofoto earlier in the thread? if you need anymore information from me to work out why this is happening, I’d be happy to provide it. I’ve done some troubleshooting, and it seems that if I use an old model file (in this case an old VistaLiners model file from a flight sim.com download) then the cockpit textures appear perfectly normally. The glass is transparent and the interior textures appear fine. However, if I change the model file to the one that is available from the HJG Downloads page, the issue returns and the cockpit once again appears as it does in the photos. I did this using the “HJG_737-300.air” file and “aircraft.cfg” file available from the HJG Downloads page both times, only changing the model file in use. I hope this helps to work out what may be causing the issue, if you need any more information from me, please ask. I hope someone can help me with this, because other than this issue I find the model to be fantastic, and I really enjoy using it!

I am an FSX user. I am not so sure if the 737-300\400\500\600 series are compatible with FSX. I did port all of them over to FSX in my system. What I found is that when using a side view the windows are more or less clear, but as you change the view with the hat switch to an angle the windows do become opaque.
It probably has something to do with the fact that these aircraft are not completely compatible with FSX.
