So then folks .... it's time for yet another website update .... therefore "WELCOME", everyone, to this latest release (HJG's "2020 October Fest") and which is composed of some 97X "NEW" and "UPGRADED" files for your "free FS fun and enjoyment"

There's 5 V-NOTAM's specific to the content of this website update .... so please .... note each of the following details ....


1. We're releasing the aircraft base pack for the EC-135C. This particular file now contains an additional 3D model file .... which is required in order to support the "NEW" EC-135K textures included within this release. This new base pack also includes "UPGRADED" FDE. It s suffixed V6.1 .... and replaces the earlier/original version. Those contemplating using the C-135B, EC-135C/J/K/P, and KC-135B textures included within this release (each of which require this EC-135C base pack) "MUST" download this "NEW AND UPGRADED" file. Failure to do so will result in some of these latest textures not being supported by the required 3D model/s. More information concerning the content of this new and upgraded file may be reviewed per the following link ....

2. An additional 3D model has also been included within our TC-18B aircraft base pack too .... along with "UPGRADED" FDE as well. Again .... this additional model is required to support the "NEW" TC-18F texture included within this release, so, those contemplating using this particular new texture "MUST" download this "NEW AND UPGRADED" base pack file. Failure to do so will result in this latest texture not being supported by its required 3D model too.

3. We're also re-releasing the RC-135A J57 aircraft base pack released during July .... and which is now suffixed V6.1. This particular file contains "slightly further fine-tuned" FDE. It's recommended that the earlier/original V6.0 release be replaced with this "NEW" V6.1 file. The original information concerning this newest addition to our C-135 SERIES family may be reviewed as follows ....

4. No other changes or alterations have been applied to any the above 3 files .... beyond what's been mentioned above. All original Panel and Sound assignments remain unchanged. Basic flying guides in support of the "NEW" FDE for each of these "UPGRADED" files (as well as Panel and Sound assignments for each of our C-135 SERIES simulations also) may be reviewed as follows ....

5. Pay careful attention to the aircraft base pack recommendations for each subject .... as stated within the above website update announcement. In regard to our multi-designated military C-135 SERIES subjects it's not uncommon to find WC-135 textures assigned to the C-135B base pack .... or .... KC-135B textures assigned to the EC-135C base pack .... or YE-8B textures assigned to the B707-700 base pack .... since each of these aircraft type designations, and their recommended HJG base pack assignments, are correct given the available 3D model content of each base pack. Apply all textures "to the recommended base packs" and use "only the recommended panel and sound packs" for each simulation too .... such will guarantee both compatibility and end user enjoyment.

We expect to release the remainder of our "NEW" C-135 SERIES FDE's before Christmas (to better aid those virtual C-135 missions ) .... and by which time these may include our "NEW" B707/720 FDE's as well (which are being worked up at this very moment) .... along with that "SURPRISE" I keep referring to also.

Couldn't do this as part of this particular release despite the fact "all of" the new C-135 FDE's are indeed "finished" .... it's just that there's a limit to what we can "easily" handle in respect of the content/logistics associated with each HJG website update/release.

Thanks for expressing your appreciative comments (those whom have taken the time to do do) .... it "does" make the effort feel worthwhile

Just another reminder/clarification

At this stage, and despite the fact FDE revisions for "all" of our C-135 SERIES simulations have now been completed, only those for the EC-135C, RC-135A (J57), and TC-18B aircraft base packs have, so far, been released .... each of which are now suffixed "V6.1" files.

The reason for early release of the above 3 revised FDE's/aircraft base packs (only) is because additional models were added to these files in order to support some of the new textures included within this latest website update .... hence their FDE revisions were released also.

The rest of the revised C-135 SERIES FDE's will be released later .... after the conclusion of that "SURPRISE" I keep referring to and which will/should hopefully also include the revised B707/720 FDE's too .... as both lots of these aircraft base packs are equally dependent upn the same forthcoming "SURPRISE" package
