Forgive me if this is in the wrong place and/or been asked already but why hasn’t the L-1011-500 added with the others? I’m not complaining at all just curious. I want to thank Tony and everyone involved with providing us with HJG and their contributions. I wish you all very kind regards, Jeremy

It has been asked previously .... a number of times in fact Absence of the L-1011-500 is "conspicuous" to us too .... and to be honest there's probably nothing like to do more than "offer it" .... "if only" such were practical". The reality though is it's one thing to hope, and to want, but, our being able to actually deliver (anything .... and not just an L-1011-500) is an "entirely different matter" that's essentially dictated by what we know we've the capacity "to be able to achieve". The amount of work required in order to ensure release of just one good model .... not forgetting its supporting panels, sounds, and FDE as well (all of what we currently offer for the basic L-1011 would have to be "adjusted" for a/the -500 .... there's absolutely no avoiding that .... one thing can't necessarily be slapped onto another and expected to perform well) is actually "QUITE PHENOMENAL". Not saying we won't do it or it can't be done by us. Just "NOT PUBLICLY COMMITTING OURSELVES TO SUCH" .... as (for reasons of past let-downs/disappointments) HJG "never" (normally) publicly declares it's intentions in advance of actually delivering any particular project. Hello, nothing about L-1011, but a question for all the panels on your fantastic site :
Can you tell me how to convert AP to be used with CIVA INS (in XML code) please ?
Thank you for the very good job you do !!

We don't encourage nor provide assistance with such modifications .... sorry The reason we won't assist is because we only support what "we provide and as its provided". Some of our panels already feature INS anyway .... in liew of DOPPLER or LORAN navigation .... since INS wasn't introduced until the early 1970's and as such isn't appropriate to everything. Only those panels among our B707, B727, CV-990, DC-8 range and for which more advanced navigation is applicable are equipped with it/our own INS .... whilst the DC-10 and L-1011 (and I think Mario's MERCURE 100 too) simulations we offer here feature it/our own INS "by default" Our INS (programmed by George CARTY) functions almost identically to the CIVA version as demonstrated here within both of Nathan's illustrated text and video tutorials .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/9801/ins-tutorialtonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8957/ins-tutorialSome say the CIVA INS is "in its own league" .... and that may well be the case (I'm still awaiting "our own" internal bullet points only comparison/analysis of both it and the INS we offer), but at the end of the day, it seems both do the same job .... in a similar way .... and equally reliably too .... so .... what people prefer is more likely a matter of "personal preference". It's just that people using our simulations are committed to using what we offer .... without imposing modifications upon themselves that we neither support nor endorse here. Mark C AKL/NZ

OK, I understand. Thank you for tutorial, I well know INS navigation, I repaired French ones in my last job (and use INS in simulation).
Merry Christmas and happy new year.
