Hi Mark, Firstly my apolotgies for posting my question on the B707-320C on the Announcements thread. I've checked my base file downloads and see there are indeed two separate air files: B707-320C.air and B707-320F.air. That's why I was saying my pax and freighter versions have their own folders, while they previously resided in only one folder using the B707-320C.air file. Must I only use that file? Thanks. Albert

No major problem .... the request is really only intended to try'n keep postings where they logically belong . For the -320C's .... "YES" you "MUST" Both B707-320C aircraft base packs are separate and individual .... "B707-320C" (the PAX specific configuration) and "B707-320C FREIGHTER" (cargo specific configuration) .... each of which use the very same -320C AIR.FILE "as is supplied within these base packs. Only the CFG component of the FDE for each of the above -320C's differs .... as earlier explained. The currently downloadable aircraft base pack contents for each of these files is "CORRECT" .... I've just checked, rechecked, and reconfirmed this once again. "DO NOT" amalgamate or change/swap the content/s of either base pack .... or the content/s of any other aircraft base pack for that matter either .... and "DON'T try to set everything up in accordance with the old aircraft base pack system otherwise one will only be at risk of potentially confusing oneself. Remember also .... the B707-320 and -320(F) "ARE NOT" the B707-320B, -320B SCD/COMBI, -320B ADV, or even the -320C .... since each of these subjects are entirely separate aircraft base packs with their own respective FDE suites. Note also .... B707-320 is the early JT4A turbo-jet powered PAX version of the -300 family and the identically powered -320(F) is the cargo conversion of that .... both of these also being supported by their own same AIR.FILE, but, with their CFG's differing appropriately in accordance with configuration of each. Use all of the new aircraft base packs separately/individually "and precisely as it's supplied and recommended" .... then .... aided by our texture listings (if necessary) add, or transfer, all textures to each of their respective new aircraft base packs .... and one can't possibly go wrong. If people attempt to take short cuts .... by possibly mixing FDE's, or recompiling these packages in any manner other than the way they're provided, then, it will (potentially) lead to panel, sound, and performance related problems. Please refer to installation guides for the aircraft base packs, panels, and sounds as stated within "SECTION 1" of our following-linked B707 manual .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/9861/b707-installation-handling-notesMark C AKL/NZ

Hello Mark, Thank you for taking the time and effort to reply again. Looking at everything in detail once more, I decided to re-download the freighter base pack. It now contains the B707-320C.air file, not B707-320.air as in the first download. The issue is resolved and I can look forward to updating my B707 fleet. You must be rearing to go on your well deserved holiday! Have a good time and stay healthy. Till 2021, best wishes. Albert.

That's the way to do it Albert .... precisely as per the instructions Everything now has it's own specific base pack, so, adapt the textures to each of these as recommended, then, assign the recommended panels and sounds to each accordingly too .... and for that you won't look back Never put new data into old folders .... and never try to install a revised project in accordance with an old system. No holiday/s for me .... at least not in the true sense of "a holiday". In NZ (I'm not sure about Colombia .... my other home away from home) we're all stuck here and "enclosed within our own border", but, at least we've been able to keep ourselves safe (given the current international situation) .... and which has largely been the result of both "good planning and leadership" (despite a couple of very silly mistakes made along the way) .... although, if we're not careful, we too are also only a single infection away from everything becoming a major disaster.
