Before I go any further, I will recognize the fact that HJG primarily prefers to stay in the realm of real-world liveries for their aircraft. However, after looking at Eric's what if Delta Tristar repaint, I concluded that I should at least pose this request to HJG.
The request in question is that of what the Boeing 717-200 would have been called, had it not gotten rebranded by Boeing at the time of the McDonnell Douglas Boeing merger period. That is the MD-95. Having spotted this image on the Boeing website, I can presume that this is how the 717/MD-95 would have looked, provided it had reached the skies ahead of the merger. In addition, although not exactly the same, I did find on YouTube a very old video discussing the order that ValueJet had placed for the 717, before then went belly up. In the footage, you can briefly see a woman standing behind the forward fuselage of a 717, that is wearing the 95 portion of its original name. I have included a pair of links down below for those whom are interested in viewing the two pieces of content which I found.
As such, I shall leave this request open to anyone who would like to take it into consideration. Though as I stated prior, I understand that this technically qualifies as a fictional livery. Thus, it falls outside of the scope which HJG looks at when evaluating repaint requests.
Regards,

"IF" the MD-95's physical specifications/characteristics are akin to those of the B717-200's (for which we offer 3 different 3D models) then I've no problem with this ... and more-so given your image shows an aircraft in apparently MDC house livery bearing "MD-95" titles. Since Erik recently previewed an MD-90 in what appears to be similar MDC house livery then this's one he might like to look at .... if he's interested Mark C AKL/NZ

No promises, but I'll see what I can dig up I believe that I read somewhere a while back that McDonnell Douglas actually used an old DC-9 as a demonstrator during the MD-95 marketing campaign complete with the house scheme on it, although I think it was just a fuselage as opposed to a complete airframe. In any case, I'll see what I can do! *Edit: I believe these photos and footage may actually be of that DC-9; it has a considerably larger right-hand service door which was a feature ordered by Eastern on its series 30s, which suggests to me that it's one of their secondhand aircraft. That said, I'm not opposed to presenting a 717 in full house colors as a fictional livery, since it does have some basis in reality.

"Proceed and you please or see fit" Erik .... in regard to both the DC-9 and B717-200 prospects.

Hi Erik.
I have managed to find the MD-95 pamphlet which I obtained at Farnbourgh. Probably 1996, as that is when it is dated. Its spent probably over 20 years in the loft! No photos. except for the cockpit layout (Mock up), BR715 and interior mock up. The renders / model look just like the 717, complete with the engine strake. Model designation is the MD-95-30 (and 30ER). I guess as its a DC-9-30 replacement hence the 30. Registration used is N905DC.
I can scan some of it in if you like. Its 30 pages cover to cover FYI.

Sure, that would be a huge help! Particularly if the MD-95 logo is shown prominently anywhere...it's not easy to come by online, that I've seen.
