I have found a veritable Plethora of Delta 737-200 liveries and part swapping nightmares to choose from. To start, This aircraft spanned quite a bit of time here at Delta and lived through three major livery changes, and several iterations of Delta Express paintjobs also. In and amongst all that were some truly funky mixing and matching of parts during the crossover periods in liveries. Ill attempt some of them, but right now I'll focus on the big ones and try to do the minor variations of each livery later if and when I get to it. Some of them were truly "ugly" but it lends itself to some interesting stuff and perfectly matches with the historical part of this website. First one up for preview is the Landor scheme from the late 90's and was the first redo since the old Widget scheme as delivered to Delta which has been already previewed and is in the release textures. Next up is the slightly later version of the Widget scheme without the cheatline going all the way back to the apu exhaust. All 737's got this update shortly after we received these aircraft. Pretty busy with work and travel lately so previews will be slow, but more are coming!!! On the Docket.... Delta Express, and the Deltaflot liveries.

Very nice! I know the Landor scheme was unpopular, but I personally liked it- particularly on the 757 and the MD-88. Looking forward to the Express ones!

I actually like the Landor livery too. The problem came later when they started mashing different parts together from differing liveries. Yikes....white noses instead of black, red and blue landor nacelles on one side and not the other.......it was bad.

Next up is my least favorite, and its a chore to paint because I hate it!!!! Anyway, the Wavy gravy or "Deltaflot" livery was short lived as was the original Landor Scheme. By the way, Landor came up with this one also. Ill do two of this livery, as it sported the "frowning" widget, shown here, and a regular widget.

Next up is the other "yucky" dishrag livery with the EXPRESS logo. Ill be doing the older Express variants of this also soon. This one is a stone cold beech, because I could not find a font that was "right". So...I had to do the best I could with stretching and modifying an existing one. Quite a bit of freehand involved in that!!!! I tackled this one first as I knew it would be the most difficult, and I wasnt wrong. And for us painters, Im not a very good "Layer guy" either. Yikes.

Looks "FINE/GREAT" Jim .... I can't fault it at all .... not that I'd ever want to try'n do so. I found reasonably large "EXPRESS" font (if that's what difficulties you mention are in relation to .... can provide it if wanted), but, comparing "it" with what you've represented .... I reckon what "you've got there's" a dead-ringer. Many times I've told the community that in regard to some liveries we can only do what we can .... and everything to successfully do can only ever be as accurate/authentic as the resources available to us .... and more-so given sometimes is "bloody difficult" (almost impossible) to source the right/useable (key word) references in some cases. Again .... you've done "a fine job there" as always Mark C AKL/NZ

Oh no doubt its nearly spot on. It would take a VERY picky customer to spot any real issues. I would not preview it if I thought it wasn't extremely close to the real thing! A quote a friend of mine uses who builds homebuilt aircraft always told me that "perfection is the Enemy of Adeqaute" I try very hard to get close to perfection, but sometimes close enough is good enough!

To quote an old DAL advertising slogan/tag .... "WE LOVE TO FLY .... AND IT SHOWS".To add my own take to that old 80's slogan/tag and in relation to this presentation in particular .... "AND ESPECIALLY WITH THESE" (textures). "KEEP CLIMBING" Jim .... and "DELIVERING" too Mark C AKL/NZ
