I have a AMD 3000+ with 1GB ram and ATI 9800 pro. I generally get only 8-9 FPS with the panel and 18-19 without the panel showing. Is this about right. It certainly is hard to control at the lower FPS. Any suggestions?

There's nothing assoiated with any of our panels or aircraft which might contribute to significant deterioration in frame rates.
In fact each of the panels and aircraft we offer is more than frame rate friendly even on lower spec systems (down to 1GB proceesors and old 16mb graphics cards) from what I've seen around here the place.
Anyone else got any suggestions ?

You specify 707-128 ..so are things better with a 720 or 707-320 or in fact everything that's not a 707-128 ? You're giving detail of your system but little detail of what the problem is as regards aircraft types except you have FPS trouble running the Air France 707 presumably.......... Garry

lso FR depends on so many settings in FS, I know that does not help much but if you have everything maxed out this will hit.....It is about finding a balance thats suits you, everyone is different What is it like on other aircraft panels? Also AMD 3000+ with 1GB ram and ATI 9800 pro is not a bad set up are you running with the latest video drivers? I know these can cause problems. Plus any other program running at the same time can slow it down, hope I am not "teaching granny to suck eggs" here just not sure of what you know and dont
