This U.S. Air Force C-130 was flying near Tacoma, Washington - whenit collided with an bald eagle. The pilot was splattered with blood. The C-130 and eagle landed together, but only the C-130 was still alive. The plane commander requested a change of pants! The last pic probably should be captioned-' you gotta be kiddin' me '! Ben

God what a mess! This is not a "Does it taste like chicken?" moment.. ;D Back in 1988 one of our C-141 flights from McGuire AFB to Keflavik, Iceland had the whole radome cover fall off as it was descending into KEF..scared the hell out of everyone aboard. On that one several of the flight crew had to get new flightsuits, but not for "Bald Eagle kill". Thank God there were no passengers on that run.

Back in 2002 when the Horizon Q-400's were fairly new, one them on approach into Medford OR hit 6 Canadian Geese in formation. The flight deck windows were blown out, the whole radome was gone, and the pilot's pedals were exposed. The pilot was blinded, and the whole avionics was shut down. The F/O did a remarkable job of landing the plane with no other injuries. That plane was a mess. In fact for a while the plane had 6 geese outlines stenciled under the Pilot's window... Like WWII fighter Ace.
