Should the BAe 146's soundpack (provided by HJG) be unzipped in the "sound" folder under the "FS9 directory" or in the "sound" folder of the BAe146-300v1.0 aircraft .
On the other hand, I've tried to autostart (CTRL+E) the engine of the BAe146-300v1.0 but it didn't work. Is that normal? Or should I go through the engine start procedure described in the manual that come with the BAe's "panel" file?

It should go into the Bae 146 Sound Folder My Computer/FS9(C:)/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft/BAe146-300 v1.0/sound folder Hello, If you read the documentation (very good doc BTW  ) furnished with the panel you will find a "autostart button"  It's a PDF file  with plenty screens .... . Hope this helps and as regards cold and dark start reading the manuel will aid you a lot its worth it in the end |

Dump the default "SOUND" folder that comes with the Aircraft Base Pack.
Put that soundpack (and all our soundpacks) directly inside the BAe 146 aircraft folder .... and you'll be as right as rain !
"IF" your also using the HJG supplied panel by Mathius LEIBRECHT, you should also open the HJG supplied soundpack for these aircraft. Locate the SOUND.CFG file. Identify the following section ....
[AP_DISENGAGE_SOUND]
filename=caapdis
maximum_volume=12000
Change the last line (VOLUME=) so that in then looks like as is bold typed below ....
[AP_DISENGAGE_SOUND]
filename=caapdis
maximum_volume=0
.... and save the change
As Mathias's BAe 146 panel gauge/sound files already feature authentic AP sound for this aircraft, the above recommended SOUND.CFG edit will ensure the panel/gauge supplied AP sound is prioritized over anything else.
