How to hide the menu-bar:
Press the ALT-key and hold it down for a short while. Voila.
To unhide it, press the ALT-key again, or right-click and select "Hide the Menu" to tick/untick the item.

Here's one for you-
To alias any sound, texture or panel folder to another aircraft, add the following into your aircraft.cfg file. You won't need to put together a folder and panel.cfg (or whatever) file for it.
panel=..\..\..\Boeing 747-400\panel sound=..\..\..\Boeing 737-400\sound
Of course, you will need to change the aircraft folder appropriately, and with texture, you may need to add texture.Red or whatever.

I think it's best we stick with established common conventions "RAILUNNER130" .... just for the sake of lesser experienced FS users as well as for the lesser PC literate among us too .... otherwise we're potentially at risk getting folk confused. Also .... when trying to troubleshoot (as the need arises) it makes life much easier for ourselves too if everyone's "on the same page".

If you're having frame rate issues, the first thing I recommend you try is changing from 32bit to 16bit textures. Do this in your graphics settings where you select what screen resolution you want to display. For instance, normally everything I run is set for 1280x1024x32bit, but for FSX I've set it to run at 1280x1024x16bit resolution. That simple change nearly doubled my FPS.
