Sorry Benjamin did you actually read the line where I said, and I quote: and I tell you again... you shouldn't place those entries yourself. FSX does it for you. But you can of course check that they have actually been added.George has pointed you to the exact place where to find your FSX.cfg file. Be sure that you are able to see all files, and that VISTA isn't hiding something for you. Obviuosly you haven't set up you panel configuration correct. If you had, you would see the instruments. You might even have placed your core files wrongly. The tutorial say very precisly where to place the various files. Hey, I did not used the WinZip instead, copy and paste. Well... just curious, why wouldn't the Boeing 707bundle as a package? That would be more easier. I am so confuse and i have test tomorrow. If possible, could you do a pack for Boeing 707 so that it won't be confusing? Hope this might help, BENJAMIN

Regarding which panels to use with which aircraft see this: tonymadgehjg.proboards98.com/index.cgi?board=hjgaircraftlistings&action=display&thread=1189834945AND it would be VERY helpful if you read the FAQ's thoroughly before asking. Included in the zip files are also various readme's. It is allowed to read them as well. I would like to state that this is a support for HJG aircraft, and to a small minimum a support on how to get them installed correctly. It is NOT a general FSX nor FS9 help support, and as a minimum it is expected that the tutorials and readme's are read.

Btw. the alias in the panel.cfg is sadly wrong.
It says:
alias=B747_400/panel
It SHOULD say:
alias=B747_400\panel
please note the difference in / and \
This will of course be corrected with the next upload.
If this indeed solves your questions/problems, I most humbly apologize.

Btw. the alias in the panel.cfg is sad fully wrong it says: alias=B747_400/panel it SHOULD say: alias=B747_400\panel please note the difference in / and \ This will of course be corrected with the next upload. If this indeed solves your questions/problems, I most humbly apologize. Didn't we have to change the alias=B747_400\panel to:[fltsim] alias=fsfsconv\panel.b707-320badvc.1970

I have now uploaded the corrected base pack for the B387 as the panel.cfg was indeed erroneous. I humbly apologize for this, and it is now aliased correctly to the default B747_400 panel.

So do i need to change the panel from Boeing 747 to the Boeing 707?

No as there isn't a suitable panel for this model, so you just stick with the default B747....
(See the thread in About HJG Aircraft: Which panel for which model as I showed you before....)
I think you should be able to manage yourself from now....

But, generally, that is what i was finding for... I wanted to have a Boeing 707 with a Boeing 707 panel. What's wrong with the panel? I mean, why can't someone make it compact with FSX vista?

Then select one of the other models. Which all have specialized panels.

I don't think this thread can bear any more, so I'm locking it.
I'll let it stay in order to let people see the benefit of reading ALL the readme's and tutorials found here at the forum.
